‘노벨과학상’ 수준의 연구를 위한 방안 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 국내 기초과학 관련 전문가들의 인식을 토대로 노벨과학상 수준의 연구 성과를 달성하기 위한 현실적인 방안을 구체적으로 탐색하는데 있다. 연구를 위해 관련 선행연구를 조사하였고 자료 수집 대상은 신문 기사, 도서 등이었다. ‘노벨상’이라는 키워드로 최신의 정보 및 동향을 파악하고자 2015년 10월 1일∼2017년 7월 11일까지의 기간을 대상으로 총 20,000여건의 신문기사를 기본적으로 확인하였다. 그 외 연구의 주제와 직접적으로 관련된 최신 기사와 도서를 추가적으로 반영 하였다. 다음으로, 자료 처리 및 분석 과정에서 수집된 자료를 검토, 선별해 나갔다. 코딩 작업과 카테고리 분류 및 명명을 한 후 자료를 반복적으로 검토, 수정하여 최종 확정하였다. 연구 결과에서는 ‘노벨과학상’ 수준의 연구 수행을 위한 방안으로 ‘노벨상에 대한 관점의 변화’, ‘연구의 방향 및 방식의 변화’, ‘지원 및 평가 체제의 변화’, ‘교육 및 풍토의 변화’가 도출되었다. 본 연구를 통해 노벨과학상 수준의 연구 수행을 위해 필요한 개선 사항들을 구체적으로 확인할 수 있을 것이다. 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 논의 및 결론, 향후 연구에 대한 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore practical ways for research achievement at the level of Nobel Prize in Science based on the recognition of domestic experts in basic science. For the study, related research was investigated and data collection was done through newspaper articles, books, etc. In order to identify the latest information and trends with the keyword ‘Nobel Prize’, a total of 20,000 newspaper articles were basically confirmed for the period from October 1, 2015 to July 11, 2017. In addition, I added one recent article and one book directly related to the subject of this study. Next, the collected data were reviewed and selected during data processing and analysis. After coding and category classification and naming, the data were repeatedly reviewed and revised and finally confirmed. The results of this study were derived from ‘Changes in perspective on the Nobel Prize’, ‘Changes in direction and method of research’, ‘Changes in support and evaluation system’, ‘Changes in education and climate’. This study will provide improvements for conducting research at the level of Nobel Prize in Science. Based on the results of the study, the discussion, the conclusion, and suggestions for future research are presented.
