중학생이 지각한 부모의 언어통제유형에 따른 자아존중감, 정서조절능력, 친사회적 행동의 차이

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 중학생이 지각한 부모의 언어통제유형에 따른 자아존중감, 정서 조절능력, 친사회적 행동의 차이를 규명하는 것이다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 연구대상인 중학교 1~3학년 학생 355명을 대상으로 부모의 언어통제유형 척도, 자아 존중감 척도, 친사회적 행동 척도에 관한 검사를 실시하였으며, 최종적으로 313명의 자료가 최종 분석되었다. 수집된 자료는 one-way ANOVA를 이용해 그 차이를 확인하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 중학생이 지각한 부모의 언어통제유형에 따라 자아존중 감 전체 및 하위변인인 사회, 가정 자아존중감에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 중학생이 지각한 부모의 언어통제유형에 따른 정서조절능력에는 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 셋째, 중학생이 지각한 부모의 언어통제유형에 따른 친사회적 행동 전체와 하위변인인 나눠주기, 협력하기에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 따라서 중학생이 지각한 부모의 언어통제유형에 따라 자아존중감과 친사회적 행동이 유의미한 차이를 보였고, 정서조절능력에는 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 본 연구의 결과는 부모 의 양육환경으로서의 언어통제유형이 중학생의 자아존중감과 친사회적 행동과 관련이 있으며, 따라서 중학생의 이러한 심리적 특성들을 향상시키지 위해 부모의 인성적 언어통제유형의 필요성을 시사하고 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the difference in self-esteem, emotional control ability and prosocial behavior according to parents’ language control type perceived by middle school students. To achieve this goal, 355 students in the first - to third-grade middle schools studied were examined with final data on the type of language control, self-esteem, and prosocial behavior measures of parents. The collected data was analyzed using one-way ANOVA. The results of the analysis showed that, first, there was a significant difference in whole self-esteem and its sub-variables social and family self-esteem according to the parents’ language control type perceived by middle school students. Second, there was no significant difference in emotional control ability according to the parents’ language control type perceived by middle school students. Third, there was a significant difference in whole prosocial behavior and its sub-variables sharing and cooperating according to the parents’ language control type perceived by middle school students. Therefore, there was a significant difference in self-esteem and prosocial behaviors according to the type of language control type of the middle school students. The result of this study suggests that the type of language control as a parent s parenting environment is related to the self - esteem and prosocial behavior of middle school students, and thus suggests the need for a type of human language control for parents to improve these psychological characteristics of middle school students.
