국문 초록
흉부촬영에서 적용되고 있는 일반 X-선의 깊이 정보 부재와 중첩현상, 컴퓨터단층촬영장치 (Computed Tomography, CT)의 높은 피폭선량 문제를 해결할 수 있는 흉부 디지털 단층영상합성장치 (Chest Digital Tomosynthesis, CDT)이 개발되었다. 하지만, CDT 검사에서 노이즈는 영상의 질을 저하시켜 오진율을 증가시킨다. 따라서, 노이즈 제거는 CDT의 임상적 적용에 있어 중요한 문제이며, 그 중 총 변동계수 (Total Variation, TV) 기반 노이즈 제거 알고리즘은 효율성이 높은 방법으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 CDT로 획득한 영상을 기존의 알고리즘과의 정량적 비교분석으로 TV 노이즈 제거 알고리즘의 우수성을 증명하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 획득한 CDT 영상에 노이즈 제거 알고리즘을 적용시켜 노이즈 제거 효율을 평가하였다. 비교 평가를 위하여 기존의 노이즈 제거 알고리즘인 median filter, Wiener filter 그리고 제안하는 TV 노이즈 제거 알고리즘을 CDT 영상에 적용시켰다. 영상의 정량적 평가는 육안적 평가, coefficient of variation (COV), 대조도 대 잡음비 (contrast to noise ratio, CNR) 그리고 intensity profile을 적용시켰다. 결과적으로 TV 노이즈 제거 알고리즘을 CDT 영상에 적용하였을 때 육안적 평가가 우수하게 관찰되었다. 또한, TV 노이즈 제거 알고리즘에서 COV 및 CNR 결과는 각각 원영상에 비하여 1.88배 감소 및 1.54배 향상되었고, intensity profile에서도 가장 평탄한 그래프가 도출되었다. 결론적으로, CDT 영상에서 TV 노이즈 제거 알고리즘이 기존의 노이즈 제거 방법보다 우수한 영상의 특성을 얻을 수 있어 임상에서의 활용성이 크게 증가할 것으로 기대된다.
