국문 초록
산란선은 의료 영상의 진단 가치를 저하시키고 환자 피폭선량 증가에 기여하기 때문에 지속적으로 관리될 필요가 있다. 이러한 산란선량은 관전압, 조사야 크기, 피사체의 물리적 성질 등에 영향을 받는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 관전압의 변화에 따른 산란선 발생율을 산출하여 비교 분석하였으며 산란선발생이 영상의 화질에 미치는 영향을 RMS(Root Mean Square)분석과 NPS(Noise Power Spectrum)분석을 통해 정량적으로 평가하고자 하였다.
흉부 조직등가물질로 제작한 미국표준협회(ANSI; American National Standards Institute)흉부 팬텀을 이용하여 피사체를 구현하였다. 산란선 발생율은 ANSI팬텀위에 3mmPb를 위치시켜 주선속을 제외한 산란선량을 측정하고, 3mmPb를 제거하여 주선속 선량과 산란선량을 모두 포함하는 총 선량을 측정하여 산출하였다. 촬영조건의 경우, 식품의약품안전청이 간행한 ‘일반 영상의학검사의 환자선량 권고량 가이드 라인’을 참고하여 관전압을 73, 79, 85, 93, 100 kVp 범위로 설정하여 영상을 획득하였다. 이후, Octave S/W를 통하여 관전압을 증가시켜가며 획득한 영상의 RMS와 NPS를 분석하였다.
산란선 발생율 측정 결과, 관전압 증가에 따라 산란선량은 점차 증가하였으며, 분석 가능한 범위 내에서 관전압이 증가함에 따라 RMS값 또한 증가함을 확인하였다. NPS 분석 결과, 관전압 증가 시 NPS값이 증가함과 동시에 노이즈 성분의 분포가 균일해지는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
이는 동일 조건에서의 관전압 변화에 따른 산란선량 발생 정도가 영상의 노이즈 성분 증감에 기여한 결과로 사료되며, 이러한 연구 결과는 산란선량 정도에 따른 의료영상의 품질 개선을 위한 연구의 기초자료로서 활용 가능할 것으로 판단된다.
