국문 초록

中日戰爭 시기 라디오방송은 國民政府의 중요한 외교 수단이었다. 蔣介石을 비롯하여 국민정부의 주요 인사들은 라디오방송을 통해 미국과 영국 등 주요 강대국을 향해 지지와 원조를 호소하였다. 따라서 이 시기 중국의 국제 항일선전방송을 연구하는 것은 중일전쟁 당시 복잡한 국제정세를 파악하는 데에 도움이 될 뿐만 아니라, 중국 외교 정책의 방향과 변화를 또 다른 시각에서 접근하는 효과적인 통로가 될 수 있다. 중일전쟁 시기 중국 라디오방송국의 국제 항일선전방송에 관한 최근의 연구는 중국의 국제 항일선전방송을 개설하였던 기존의 서술방식을 넘어서 다각화, 심화되는 경향을 보이고 있다. 다만 한국의 경우 이에 관한 전문적인 연구가 아직까지 이루어지지 않은 상태이다. 그러므로 여기에서는 선행연구와 관련 자료를 바탕으로 중일전쟁 시기 중국 국제 라디오 선전방송의 전개양상을 소개하는 데에 주력하고자 한다. 본고에서는 중일전쟁 시기 중국 국제 항일선전방송의 전개과정을 태평양전쟁을 기준으로 前과 後 두 시기로 나누어 살펴보았다. 먼저 1941년 12월 태평양전쟁 이전 시기이다. 중국 국제 항일선전방송은 국민정부의 외교정책과 긴밀하게 연동되는 가운데 소련과 미국, 영국 등 주요 강대국을 향해 원조를 호소하는 방향으로 진행되었다. 선전방송의 주요 대상은 소련에서 미국과 영국으로 전환되었다. 다음으로 태평양전쟁 이후 시기이다. 重慶이 아시아 전장에서 반파시즘 전쟁의 정치적인 중심으로 부상하면서 중국 국제 라디오 항일선전방송의 위상은 크게 격상되었다. 중일전쟁 초기 별다른 효과를 거두지 못하였던 대일 선전방송도 전쟁 말기에 접어들면서 점차 효력을 발휘하기 시작하였다.

영문 초록

During the Sino-Japanese War, radio broadcasting was an important diplomatic tool of the National government. Key figures in the National government, including Jiang Jieshi, used radio broadcasts to appeal for support and aid from major powers such as the United States and Britain. Therefore, studying China’s international anti-Japanese propaganda broadcasts during this period can not only help us understand the complex international situation during the Sino-Japanese War, but also provide an effective way to approach the direction and changes in Chinese foreign policy from a different perspective. Recent studies of Chinese radio stations’ international anti-Japanese propaganda broadcasts during the Sino-Japanese War have tended to diversify and deepen beyond the traditional narratives that outlined China’s international anti-Japanese propaganda broadcasts. However, in Korea, there has been no professional research on this topic. Therefore, this article will introduce the development process of China’s international radio propaganda broadcasting during the Sino- Japanese War based on previous studies and related materials. This article examines the development of Chinese international anti-Japanese propaganda broadcasts during the Sino-Japanese War in two periods: before and after the Pacific War. The first is the period before the Pacific War in December 1941. China’s international anti- Japanese propaganda broadcasts were closely linked to its foreign policy, appealing for aid to the Soviet Union, the United States, the United Kingdom, and other major powers. The main targets of propaganda broadcasts shifted from the Soviet Union to the United States and Britain. The next period is the post-Pacific War period. As Chongqing emerged as the political centre of the anti-fascist war in the Asian theatre, the status of China International Radio’s anti-Japanese propaganda broadcasts was greatly enhanced. Sino-Japanese propaganda broadcasts, which had been ineffective in the early stages of the Sino-Japanese War, gradually became more effective towards the end.
