옌롄커 소설에 나타난 소수자의 존재 방식

국문 초록

본고는 질 들뢰즈와 펠릭스 과타리의 ‘소수성’ 이론에 천착하여 옌롄커의 「골수｣, 『일광유년』, 『레닌의 키스』 등을 분석하였다. 구체적으로 이 작품들에 나타나는 정치적 폭력성, 권력의 폭압, 사회적 비윤리성, 사회의 모순적 구조를 분석함으로써, 소수자로서 장애인의 존재 방식을 고찰하였다. 「골수｣에서는 가난, 무지, 유전적 문제, 그리고 최소한의 교육 및 의료 혜택조차 받지 못한 채, 가족의 일방적인 희생을 강요받는 피동적인 존재로서의 장애인의 모습을 보여준다. 『일광유년』에서는 사회와 권력자의 잘못된 판단으로 인해 장애인들의 상호 연대가 무너지는 과정을 그려내며, 사회의 모순과 비윤리적이고 부조리한 구조를 드러낸다. 마지막으로 『레닌의 키스』에서는 자신의 장애를 드러내고 연대했던 장애인이, 결국 물질만능주의와 장애인에 대한 인권 및 인식 교육의 부재로 인해 고통받는 존재로 변해가는 과정을 묘사하고 있다.

영문 초록

This paper delves into the theory of “minor literature” by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari to analyze Yan Lianke’s works Gu Sui, Ri Guang Liu Nian, and Shou Huo. Specifically, it examines the political violence, authoritarian oppression, social immorality, and the contradictory structures within society, as portrayed in these works, to explore the existence of disabled individuals as a minority. Gu Sui depicts the disabled as passive beings forced to endure the unilateral sacrifices of their families, without access to basic education or healthcare, and as victims of poverty, ignorance, and genetic issues. In Ri Guang Liu Nian, the breakdown of solidarity among the disabled due to the erroneous judgments of society and those in power exposes the contradictions and unethical, absurd structures within society. Lastly, Shou Huo portrays how a disabled individual, once openly identifying with their disability and seeking solidarity, eventually becomes a suffering being under the weight of materialism and the lack of human rights and awareness education for the disabled. The marginalized individuals in these works attempt to challenge existing power structures through various forms of cooperation and solidarity by becoming “disabled”. However, these attempts do not always lead to success, highlighting their limitations. Nonetheless, the very act of attempting such change can be interpreted as an effort to break existing stereotypes and provides a basis for expanding into broader social discourse.
