二重敬語「お休みになられる」の使用実態

국문 초록

本稿は二重敬語の使用が文化審議会答申「敬語の指針」でも語によっては 習慣として定着しているものがあると述べられているほどに広汎していながら二重敬語の研究が稀薄である点に着目し、「お休みになられる」を「国語研日本語ウェブコーパス(NWJC)梵天」で抽出し、使用実態を分析した。分析方法は二重敬語の先行研究が話し手が言語行為をする時、何らかの意図があり、手段が取られているというポライトネス理論から見直されている点を踏まえ語用論の観点から敬語対象者と使用場面(思い)を中心に分析をした。その結果、二重敬語の「お休みになられる」は気を遣わなければいけない相手や下層者が上層者に対して使用するばかりでなく、上層者が下層者に使用している場面もあった。また、人以外の動物や植物、物に対しても使われていた。これは敬語が使われる上扱い、遠ざけ、あらたまり、丁寧という状況や場面とは異なる点で、聞き手や話題の対象者を意識していることより話し手の判断(思い)により二重敬語が使われているということである。

영문 초록

Japanese double-honorific expressions are pervasive in Japanese society, but little research has been conducted on them. Therefore, this research focused on the double honorifics of “O / Go-naru”, which are frequently used among the double honorifics. This study is devoted to one of the double honorifics expressed in the corpus, “I can take a rest.” I conducted an empirical analysis of what kind of people and situations the speaker uses “to take a rest”. As a result, the double honorific “I can take a rest” was also used by lower-class members. Further, it was also used for animals, plants, and things other than humans. This means that there are differences from situation to situation in the cases where honorifics are used, treated, kept away, renewed, and polite. The main difference is that double honorifics are used at the discretion of the speaker rather than with the listener or the topic target in mind. Future research will analyze other double honorifics and bring them closer to the whole picture of double honorifics.
