국문 초록

본 연구는 김보영의 소설을 작가론적 관점에서 바라보며 그 문학세계를 추동하는핵심을 횡단으로 보았다. 근대 이후 진리처럼 여겨졌던 위계적 인간중심주의는 현 세계에 기후위기, 사회소멸 등 여러 가지 문제를 불러왔다. 우리가 맞닥뜨린 새로운 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 문제를 발생시킨 기존의 사유와 체계가 아닌 다른 감각이 필요하다. 횡단성은 근대적 위계 구도에 의문을 제기하며 새로운 세계인식 방향을 고민하게 한다. 김보영은 횡단성의 필요성과 방법을 구체적인 SF서사를 통해 보여준다. 과거와 미래, 몸과 정신, 권력과 역능 사이를 종횡무진하며, 위계적 이분법 구도를 자연스러운이치로 생각하던 우리에게 새로운 세계를 상상할 것을 요구한다. 수평적 이자 구도를구성하기 위해 구체적인 몸과 감각을 연결해내며, 나아가 이 감각적 경험을 사회정치적 권력 문제와 연결하여 의미를 확장한다. 이는 자신이 무엇인지를 정의하는 데(being)서 나아가 어떻게 변형을 재현하고 무엇이 되기를 바라는가(becoming)를 사유하는 게 21세기적 사유 방법임을 강조한다. 이분법 구도를 재분할 하는 다양한 선을 통해 고정된 정체성이 아닌 새로운 가능성을생성하는 김보영의 문학은 다중적 타자와 관계성의 중요함을 깨닫게 한다.

영문 초록

This study examined Kim Bo-young’s novel from a writer’s perspective, iden tifying “transversality” as the driving force in the literary world. Hierarchical an thropocentrism, which has been regarded as true since modern times, has brought various problems to the present world, such as the climate crisis and social ex tinction. To solve the new problem, we need to look beyond the existing thinking and systems that caused the problem. Transversality raises questions about modern hierarchical structures and encourages us to consider a new direction for world recognition. Kim Bo-young demonstrated the need for a method of transversality through a detailed science-fiction narrative. It requires us to envisage a new world in which a hierarchical dichotomous structure is considered natural, moving horizontal ly between the past and the future, the body and mind, and power and potency. Constructing a horizontal interest structure connects specific bodies and senses and further expands the meaning by connecting this sensory experience with socio-po litical power issues. This emphasizes the fact that thinking about how to reproduce the transformation and what it will be is a 21st-century way of thinking, defining what it will ‘becom ing’ rather than ‘being’. Kim Bo-young’s literature, which offers new possibilities rather than fixed identities through various lines that subdivide the dichotomous structure, makes people realize the importance of multiple others and relationships.
