국문 초록

이 글은 윤중호 시의 장소적 특성을 연구한 논문이다. 윤중호가 생애 대부분의 삶을 살았던 장소인 “서울”과 군대에서 제대한 후 대학에 다시 복학하기 이전에 생활했던 “안면도”, 그리고 윤중호가 태어나고 성장한 원체험지 “금강”이 어떤 특성을 지니는지 밝히려는 것이 목적이다. 윤중호 시에는 구체적인 지명을 포함하여 장소를 제목으로 삼은 작품이 매우 많다. 특별히 주목할 만한 것은 ‘지명+에(서)’ 구조의 제목이다. 장소를 나타내는 부사격조사 ‘에(서)’의 결합은 윤중호 시 제목의 독창성이라 할 만큼 개성적이다. 윤중호의 시에서 서울, 즉 “본동”이나 “이주 단지”는 탈향민들이 정착하여 삶을 이어나가는 장소이다. “본동”은 가난과 분노 등으로 점철된 장소이다. 그래서 “본동”은 매우 절망적인 서사가 전개될 것이라는 혐의를 지닌다. 그러나 윤중호는 “본동”에 이러한 혐의를 씌우지 않는다. “본동”에 사는 사람들의 서사를 통해 소박하지만 건강한 삶을 노래한다. “이주 단지”에 대한 인식도 이와 크게 다르지 않다. “안면도”는 서울의 대척점인 장소로 볼 수 있다. “안면도”는 윤중호에게 양가적인 장소이다. “안면도”는 물질적 풍요로움이나 경제적인 안락함, 정서적 평화 등을 제공하는 장소가 아니다. 그러나 “안면도”는 평등과 정직의 가치를 인식하고 체험하게 하는 장소이며 부끄러움을 무화시키는 떳떳한 자기확인의 장소이다. 죽음을 목도하는 장소이지만, 생의 원숙함을 깨닫고 이를 확인하게 하는 장소도 “안면도”이다. 윤중호의 원체험지인 “금강”에서 생성되는 서사는 구체적인 지명, 사실성을 확보한 인물의 결합을 통해 생동감을 획득한다. 윤중호는 고향 “금강”을 상실의 장소로 묘사한다. 금강은 죽음과 맞닿아 있기 때문에 죽음을 환기하는 장소로 형상화된다.

영문 초록

This article is a thesis to study the characteristics of the place of Yun Jung-ho’s poetry. The goal is to reveal the characteristics of “Seoul,” the place where Yun Jung-ho lived most of his life, “Anmyeondo Island,” where he lived before returning to college after being discharged from the military, and “Geumgang River,” the original experience place where Yun Jung-ho was born and raised. In Yun Jung-ho’s poem, there are many poems titled the place, including specific names. Particularly noteworthy is the title of the ‘In+nomination’ structure. The combination of the preposition ‘in’ that represents the place is so unique that it is said to be the originality of Yun Jung-ho’s poem. In Yun Jung-ho’s poem, Seoul, or “Bon-dong” or “Migration Complex,” is a place where displaced people settle down and continue their lives. “Bon-dong“ is a place dotted with poverty, anger, and etc. So ”Bon Dong“ is suspected of developing a very desperate narrative. However, Yun Jung-ho does not charge “Bon-dong” with these charges. He sings of a simple but healthy life through the narratives of people living in “Bon-dong.” The perception of “Migration Complex” is not much different. “Anmyeondo Island” can be seen as a place opposite to Seoul. The experience of “Anmyeondo Island” is ambivalent to Yun Jung-ho. “Anmyeondo Island” is not a place that provides material abundance, economic comfort, or emotional peace. However, “Anmyeondo Island” is a place to recognize and experience the values of equality and honesty, and a place of confident self-confirmation that neutralizes shame. It is a place where he see death, but the place where he realize the maturity of life and confirm it is also “Anmyeondo Island.” The narrative created in “Geumgang River,” Yun Jung-ho's original experience place, acquires a sense of liveliness through the combination of specific places and a character who have secured realism. Yun Jung-ho describes his hometown “Geumgang River” as a place of loss. Since the “Geumgang River” is in contact with death, it is shaped as a place to evoke death.
