국문 초록

본 연구는 광주의 정체성을 살리면서 구도심을 활성화할 수 있도록 광주의 기억 문화를 연계한 히스토리컬처타운 설립을 제안하고자 하는 논문이다. 주민과 함께하는 기억문화, 즉 역사문화프로그램을 운영하는 히스토리컬처타운을 도시재생과 연계하는 제안이다. 자신의 주거환경을 개선하면서 더불어 마을공동체를 관리하며 문화해설사로서의 역할을 함께 하는 등 일자리 및 소득을 창출할 수 있는 환경 즉 히스토리컬처타운을 건설하는 것이 무엇보다 중요할 것이다. 그래서 주민 참여와 함께 컬처거버넌스를 구축하여 각 구별로 특성화된 히스토리컬처타운을 만들어 광주만의 이미지를 만들어 가야 할 것이다. 또한 히스토리컬처타운과 연계할 각종 프로그램을 개발하여 지역경제 활성화를 위해 노력해야 할 것이다. 타운 건설을 위한 선행과제로 첫 번째, 히스토리컬처타운 웹사이트 구축이 급선무일 것이다. 두 번째, 초·중·고·대학교와 시·도지자체의 국제교류를 통한 외국인 관광객 유치이다. 세 번째, 다양한 체험형 관광상품을 개발하여 히스토리컬처타운과 함께 연계하는 프로그램을 만드는 것이다. 광주 지역만의 기억문화를 통한 이미지를 만들어가는 히스토리컬처타운을 건설하여 구도심 재생 사업의 패러다임을 만들어 가길 바란다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to construction of a history culture town that connects history of Gwangju to culture with identity as a tourist city and urban regeneration. It is suggested that it is important to improve living environment through connection to a history and culture program(memory culture) with community people, that is, urban regeneration and construct a profitable environment, that is, a history and culture town facilitated by cultural heritage commentators. It is proposed that community people should participate in building a history and culture town which is specialized in each area of Gwangju through culture governance. Also, diverse programs that can be connected to the history and culture town should be developed to facilitate local economy. Strategies for development of programs are: First, the history and culture town web-site should be developed. Second, It is attracting foreign tourists through international exchanges of elementary, middle and high schools and local government. Third, diverse tourist attraction programs that are connected to the history and culture town should be developed. Fourth, international exchange programs for should be developed. This study proposed to build a history and culture town based on memory culture of Gwangju as a paradigm of urban regeneration of an old city center, a history.
