국문 초록

본 연구는 문학 공간과 독자의 서사 체험 양상을 살피는 것을 목표로 대표적인 국내 문학관 중 윤동주 문학관과 ‘구보 따라 걷기’ 행사를 사례 분석하였다. 여기서 말하는 문학 공간이란 작품 내에서의 서사적 공간이 아니라 작품 외적인 서사 공간으로, 작품 속 등장인물이나 작가가 아니라 수용자인 독자가 서사적 주체가 될 것이다. 이번 연구는 첫째, 문학관이란 공간을 중심으로 수용자 즉 작품의 독자이자 문학 공간의 관람자의 서사 체험에 미치는 영향과 효과를 고찰하였다. 윤동주문학관은 수도가압장에 대한 기억을 ‘재생’의 스토리텔링으로 승화시켜 건물 설계 및 리모델링을 추진함으로써 방문객들이 건물로부터 윤동주 시인을 느끼게 했다. 전시물이 없는 전시실로서 물탱크 속 빈 공간을 시에 등장하는 우물이나 시인이 수감됐던 감옥을 연상케 하는 공간으로 체험하도록 동선을 설계해 스토리두잉을 유도했다. 방문객은 수동적 관람에서 벗어나 빈 공간을 이야기로 채운다. 공간으로서의 윤동주문학관은 윤동주문학제라는 축제의 시간과 결합 되어 독자/관람객들에게 다양한 서사 체험을 제공하고 있다고 평가된다. 둘째, 문학 공간 중 작품 배경지 답사를 통한 서사적 체험으로는 1930년대 박태원의 작품 ｢소설가 구보씨의 일일｣의 주인공 구보가 하루 동안 걸었던 길을 따라 걷는 ‘구보 따라 걷기’ 행사를 사례 분석하였다. 구보는 모더니즘의 산책자로서 근대 도시 경성에 대한 성찰과 동시에 식민지 지식인의 자기 성찰을 보여준다. ‘구보 따라 걷기’는 구보씨의 산책로를 따라 서울의 랜드마크와 문화적 핫플레이스를 체험하는 프로그램이다. 구보 ‘따라’ 걷기는 ‘행로’를 뒤따른다는 의미만이 아니라 ‘행위’를 흉내내 본다는 의미로도 이해해야 한다. 근대인으로서 보행하면서 자신의 정체성을 확립하려 했던 구보를 따라 걸으며 독자들은 자기의 이야기를 만든다. 인문학의 대중화 사업과 문학교육 프로그램으로서 ‘구보 따라 걷기’의 발전을 위해서 구보문학관 건립이나 ‘구보씨 거리’ 또는 ‘구보 산책로’의 서울시 문화재로 지정이 요청되며, 민간 부문 참여를 통한 문학관광 상품화 방안 모색도 필요하다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the Yoon Dong-ju Literature Museum and ‘Walking along Mr. Gubo’ event among the representative Korean literary museums, with the aim of examining the literary space and the readers narrative experience. Literary space is not an narrative space within a work, but an extraneous space outside the work. The reader, who is not a character or writer in the work, but an inmate, will become an epic subject. First, the study looked at the influence and effect on the narrative experiences of the inmates, the readers of the work and viewers of the literary space, focusing on the space called the Literature Hall. The Yoon Dong-ju Literature Museum has sublimated the memory of the capital’s pressure center into the storytelling of ‘Replay,’ pushing for the design and remodeling of the building, making visitors feel Yoon Dong-ju’s poet from the building. As an exhibition room with no exhibits, the museum designed to experience empty spaces in water tanks as well as a space reminiscent of a prison where a poet was imprisoned. Visitors move away from passive viewing and fill in the empty space with stories. The Yoon Dong-ju Literary Museum as a space is considered to combine with the time of the festival called the Yoon Dong-ju Literary Festival to provide readers and visitors with various epic experiences. Second, the narrative experience of exploring the background of Park Tae-won’s work in the 1930s, “The Daily Life of novelist Gubo,” analyzed the event of ‘Walking Along Mr. Gubo’ that walked along the path that he had walked for a day. As a walker of modernism, Gubo shows reflection on modern city hardness and self-reflection of colonial intellectuals at the same time. ‘Walking along Mr.Gubo’ is a program to experience landmarks and cultural hot places in Seoul. It is important to understand that ‘Walking along Mr.Gubo’ not only follows the path, but also imitating the act. Walking along Mr.Gubo trying to establish one’s identity as a modern person, readers make their own stories. As a popularization project of humanities and a literary education program, the government will be asked to build a Gubo Literature Museum or designate it as a cultural property of the city of Gubo City Street or Gubo Walkway for the development of ‘Walking along Mr.Gubo’. And it is also necessary to seek ways to commercialize literary tourism through private sector participation.
