국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 Baddeley의 3요소 모형을 근거로 아동용 작업기억 검사도구를 개발하고 이에 대한 타당성 여부를 조사하고자 한 것이다. 이를 위해 2017년 1월부터 12월까지 음운루프, 시공간 스케치패드, 중앙집행기 3요소의 8개 하위과제로 구성된 작업기억 검사를 개발해 서울 및 수도권 지역 총 120명의 유치원과 초등학생을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료에 대한 타당화 분석 결과들은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 상관분석 결과 모든 작업기억 하위과제들 간에 유의한 정적 상관이 나타났고, 특히 각 작업기억 요소에 해당하는 하위과제들 간에는 비교적 높은 수준의 정적 상관이 나타났다. 둘째, Cronbach’s α를 통해 문항내적합치도를 살펴본 결과 작업기억 하위과제들이 모두 .7이상의 높은 신뢰도를 나타냈다. 셋째, 확인적 요인분석 결과, Baddeley의 3요소 모형은 양호한 수준의 적합도를 나타냈다. 특히 작업기억의 하위 과제들이 이론적으로 가정한 작업기억 요소들에 적절한 요인부하량을 보임으로써 이 검사의 요인구조 모형이 타당한 것임을 입증하였다. 마지막으로 작업기억 하위과제들과 유동지능 간에 유의한 정적 상관들이 나타났다. 이것은 작업기억 검사가 유동지능의 준거와 관련해 어느 정도 타당한 것임을 입증하는 결과였다. 이 연구는 작업기억 이론에 근거해 각 요소들을 통합적으로 측정할 수 있는 검사도구를 개발했다는 점에서 중요한 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

Purpose of this study is to develop a computer-based working memory test tool for children based on Baddeley s 3 component model and also investigate its validity. For this reason, we developed a working memory test battery of 8 subtasks, which measures 3 components of working memory(phonological loop, visuospatial sketchpad and central executive), from January to December 2017. A total of 120 normal kindergartens and elementary school students in Seoul and the Capital area, were administered our working memory test battery. The results of the validation analysis of collected data are as follows. First, there was a significant positive correlation among all working memory subtasks. In particular, there was a relatively high level of correlation between subtasks corresponding to each working memory component. Second, inter-item consistency revealed through Cronbach’s alpha showed that reliability of working memory subtasks was higher than .7. Third, confirmatory factor analysis showed a good fit between Baddeley’s model and the test tool data, as the subtasks had strong loadings on appropriate factors of corresponding working memory elements. Finally, good criterion-related validity was shown through the correlation between the working memory test and fluid intelligence test. This suggests that our working memory test is valid to some extent in regard to criteria of fluid intelligence. This study is significant in that it has developed a test tool, that collectively measures each element of working memory based on theoretical background.
