초등 예비교사들의 SSI 토론활동 중 지식의 협력적 과정에서 나타나는 저항성 및 학습 유형 분석

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 초등 예비교사들을 대상으로 하여 SSI 토론활동을 실시하였고, 이를 통해 나타나는 담화의 특성으로서 저항성과 학습의 유형에 대해 분석하였다. 연구 참여자는 교원양성대학에 재학 중인 초등교육 전공의 초등 예비교사 66명을 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구에서 사용한 SSI 토론활동의 주제는 모두 생명 영역으로 한정하였고, 2017년 1학기 동안 총 5회의 토론활동 수업을 실시하였다. 수집한 자료는 소집단 내 토론활동의 녹화 및 녹음을 통한 전사 자료, 학생들의 개인 활동지, 조별 활동지, 토론활동 후 설문지이며, 자료 수집의 신뢰도를 확보하기 위해 삼각측정법이 적용되었다. 수집된 다양한 자료들은 종합적으로 검토하여 귀납적 범주화를 실시함으로써 담화의 특성에 따라 각 저항성과 학습을 유형별로 분류하였다. 그 결과 소집단 내 담화의 특성으로서 저항성 유형과 학습 유형, 그리고 담화 내에서 나타나는 저항성과 학습의 연관성을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 질적 사례연구로서, 초등 예비교사들의 소집단 내 SSI 토론활동으로부터 나타나는 긍정적 담화의 요소인 저항성을 분석함으로써 과학수업에 있어서 토론활동의 중요성과 이를 통한 과학수업의 성공적인 교수학습 전략에 대해서 시사점을 얻을 수 있었다.

영문 초록

In this study, SSI(Socio-Scientific Issue) discussion activities were conducted for pre-service elementary teachers and the types of resistance and learning as characteristics of discourse through them were analyzed. The participants of this study were 66 pre-service elementary teachers of elementary education major who attended the university of education. The topics of the SSI discussion activities used in this study were all limited to life domain and a total of 5 class discussions was conducted during the first semester of 2017. The collected data were transcription data through recording of discussion activities in small groups, individual activity sheets and group activity sheets, questionnaires of students after discussion activities. Triangulation was applied to ensure reliability of data collection. The collected data were classified each resistance and learning type according to the characteristic of the discourse by comprehensively reviewing and conducting inductive categorization. As a result, it was for resistance types and learning types and the relationship between resistance and learning in discourse to be confirmed in this study. In addition, it was confirmed in this study that the students built the knowledge collaboratively while conducting the SSI discussion activities through the interviews after class discussion. This study was a qualitative case study that analyzes the resistance which is a factor of positive discourse from SSI discussion activities in pre-service elementary teachers. Therefore, this study is pedagogically meaningful and valuable because it contributes to understand the importance of discussion activities and establishes effective teaching strategies in science classrooms in the future
