국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 우리나라 ‘혁신학교’가 운영된 지 8년이 지났고, 현 정부의 핵심 교육공약인 동시에 국정기획자문위원회의 공교육분야 핵심요소로 발표되었다. 따라서 지금이 연구에 적절한 시기라고 판단되었고, ‘혁신학교’가 가장 활발히 운영되는 경기, 서울, 전북을 중심으로 도입배경, 현황분석 그리고 과제에 대하여 논의하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법은 선행연구, 교육청 홈페이지, 인터넷 자료 분석을 중심으로 연구하였다. 그 결과 성과는 첫째, ‘혁신학교’가 공교육의 새로운 모델을 정립한 점이다. 둘째, 소외지역의 학교 활성화이다. 셋째, ‘혁신학교’의 양적성장이다. 넷째, ‘혁신학교’의 조례제정으로 법률적 토대를 마련한 것이다. 과제로는 첫째, 지역사회와의 연계부족이다. 둘째, 특정교직단체의 편중화이다. 셋째, 조례의 선언적기능이 아닌 구체화이다. 넷째, ‘혁신학교’의 컨트롤 타워 부재이다.

영문 초록

In Korea, the ‘innovation school’ has been operated for eight years, and it was also announced as a key educational pledge of the current government, and a key element of public education area in the National Planning Advisory Committee. Therefore, it would be the proper time to conduct this study. The objective of this study is to discuss the background of introduction, analysis of the current status, and tasks focusing on Gyeonggi, Seoul, and Jeonbuk where ‘innovation school’ is the most actively operated. The research methods mainly focused on the analysis of preceding researches, homepage of Education Office, and internet data. In the results, first, ‘innovation school’ establishes a new model of public education. Second, it is the vitalization of schools in less-favored areas. Third, it is the quantitative growth of ‘innovation school’. Fourth, it is the establishment of legal foundation with the enactment of ordinances related to ‘innovation school’. Regarding the tasks, first, it is the insufficient connection with community. Second, it is the concentration of specific teachers’ organizations. Third, it is not the declaratory function of ordinance, but the materialization. Fourth, it is the absence of control tower of ‘innovation school’.
