초등학교 영어 일반수업과 우수수업의 상호작용 비교 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 초등학교 우수수업 동영상에서 나타나는 교사와 학생의 상호작용 형태를 관찰하고 상호작용 유형을 체계적이고 객관적으로 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 에듀넷 우수동영상 코너에서 3학년부터 6학년까지 의사소통이 활발하게 일어나는 우수수업 네 편을 선정하였고, FLint(Moscowitz 상호작용 분석법)분석법 중분류 항목 기록표를 통한 분석과 빈도행렬 작성을 통한 분석 두 가지 방법으로 수업에서 일어나는 상호작용의 빈도 양상을 분석하였다. 또한, 우수수업에서의 상호작용 분석 결과를 같은 분석법으로 일반적인 영어수업을 분석한 김영민(2010)의 연구 결과와 비교하였다. 우수수업과 일반수업을 비교한 결과 우수수업은 일반수업보다 교사의 정보제공이 높은 반면 시청각 매체로 인한 침묵이 적었고, 과제 지향적인 혼란의 비율이 높았으며 한국어 사용 비율이 현저히 낮았다. 본 연구를 통한 시사점 및 제언은 다음과 같다. 학생들의 활발한 상호작용이 일어나는 영어 수업을 만들기 위해 정보가 다양하고 창의적인 방법으로 제공되어야하며, 학생이 중심이 되어 참여할 수 있는 과제가 명확하고 충분해야 하며, 교사가 자신 있는 태도로 영어를 유창하게 구사하는 능력이 필요하다.

영문 초록

2015 national curriculum underlines communication skills as a core competence for the 21st century skills. Communication is a verbal interaction among participants, and English class must include voluntary verbal interactions of students. A distinguished class showing such verbal interactions was selected from edunet distinguished class corner. Four classes are chosen representing each grade from grade three to grade six. Flint(Moscowitz interaction analysis) is hired to analyze the patterns of interaction frequency, and the result is compared to the result of regular English teachers in Kim(2010) wherein she used the same instrument to measure the interaction between teacher and students. The contrastive findings of interactions between regular and distinguished English classes are: Distinguished classes tend to include more information giving, more task-oriented confusion and much less silence caused by watching video clips than regular classes analyzed in Kim(2010). The Flint analysis shows that English classes become more interactive when information to talk about is rich, a clear task is defined for students to engage, and teacher created materials are used than pre-fabricated materials such as textbooks and affiliated multimedia.
