大伴旅人의 神仙思想

국문 초록

大伴旅人が大宰帥として赴任したその当時は、壮麗な宮都の建設のため の百姓たちは徭役や貢納の重荷にあえいでいた。だから百姓たちは社会不安の中で仙界と神仙の存在を信じて、不老不死の念願と長生を望む神仙思想に染まった。 このような時代の中で、大宰帥の旅人は当然官人の義務として神仙思想に眩惑されて脫俗的な生活に憧れて、現実を逃避する者を厳罰に處し、教化しなければならないが、かえってその本人が晩年に自分の思うままにできない現実の政治状況に対する失望から逃避しようと神仙思想に陥られた。 しかし、旅人が夢想する神仙思想は不老不死の仙藥もなく、不老不死の神仙が住んでいる蓬萊山のような仙境に憧れて望むものではない。旅人が夢想する仙境は大伴一族が権勢と栄光を享受してくれた若い日の思い出の吉野である。

영문 초록

At that time when Otomo Tabito was appointed as the minister of Dazaifu(大宰府), people were worn to a frazzle by the forced labor and heavy taxation under the name of palace (宮都) construction. Consequently, people believed in the existence of fairyland(仙界) and Taoist fairy while being infected with Taoist ideology that wishes for the perpetual youth and immorality. In such era, Tabito, a minister of Dazaifu, was obligated to punish people who were indulged in Taoism longing for the unworldly life and escapism. On the contrary, he himself fell into the Taoist ideology in his later years in order to escape from the disappointment by reality of politics that goes athwart his purpose. However, Tabito did not yearn for the elixir of life nor the fairyland like The Land of Eternal Youth(蓬萊山) where Taoist fairly lives. What Tabito dreamed of was Yoshino(吉野) from memories of his youth that gave Otomo family the power and glory.
