현대일본논설에 나타난 문말 「のだ」에 관한 연구

本研究は36巻の現代日本論説より約1,894個の文末「のだ」用例を収集し て、まず、文末「のだ」を省略してしまえば文の意味が不自然になる「名詞+なの(ん)だ」と文の意味区分に影響が及ぼせると見られる文末「のだ」の疑問推測形「-のだろう(か)」、不定形「-のでは(じゃ)ない」等の形態を除いた文末「のだ」を省いてもその意味が通じる1,073個の文末ムード「のだ」を意味分類して文末「のだ文」の中での接続助詞、接続詞、副詞等と文末「のだ」との共起関係、文末「のだ文」と前ㆍ後の文との説明関係を含めてこれらの意味用法を土台にした接続による分類等を研究するのにその目的がある。 分析の結果、「断定主張(704個)」「理由説明(299個)」「該当文説明(63個)」「感嘆詠嘆ㆍ驚き(5個)」「当為(2個)」順に現れた。「断定主張」用法とか「該当文説明」用法にはできない文が「理由説明」用法で、断定主張「のだ文」は大抵‘私的な見解が加わって’いるので「のだ文」だけでも意味区分がやさしい方である。理由説明「のだ文」は大抵‘存在する事実を言及’して「-というのだ文」が多い方で、「-というのだ文」を除いた「のだ文」は前ㆍ後の文まで察してみなければ 「説明」の意味が分からない。5個の用法には接続助詞「-ば-のだ」と「-が-の だ」、接続詞「しかし-」と「そして-」、副詞「つまり-」が多かった。「前説+該当意味用法」「該当意味用法+後説」用法が5個すべての意味用法に現れたし、「前説+該当意味用法」が多かった。接続形態では「-ルのだ」形が一番多かった。

영문 초록

Out of 1,894 example sentences ending with noda(のだ) collected in 36 modern Japanese articles, 1,073 examples are closely examined for analyzing the classification on relationships with connective postpositions, conjunctions, and adverbs within the sentences and with the sentences around noda sentences to explain the usages of noda. Excluded examples include “noun+なの(ん)だ” sentences that become unnatural when noda is omitted and sentences that can distort the classification of noda such as supposition form 「-のだろう(か) and its variations」 and negative forms 「-のでは(じゃ) ない and its variations」, 「-なければならないのだ」. The frequencies of the examples appear in the following order of “decision and opinion” (704), “reasoning” (299), “explanation” (63), “admiration and surprise” (5) to “justification” (2). “Reasoning” represents sentences that can not be explained by “decisive opinion” and “explanation.” “Decision and opinion” sentences usually include personal views and ideas which make it easier to identify. Sentences for “reasoning” usually refer to truth and uses 「-というのだ」. Otherwise, sentences around the noda sentence should be analyzed to figure out if the sentence is explaining something for “reasoning.” In the above five classifications, connective postpostions 「-ば-のだ」and 「-が-のだ」, conjunctions 「しかし-」, and adverb 「つまり-」 appear often. Form 「-ルのだ」 is mostly used to connect noda, especially as 「-ているのだ」 and 「-というのだ」.
