초등 SW교육 방향 탐색 및 모델 개발

국문 초록

SW기술이 국가와 사회의 경쟁력을 강화하고, SW산업시장이 확대되는 등 SW중심 사회가 도래함에 따라 SW교육의 중요성이 높아지고 있다. 이에 따라 2015 개정 교육과정에서는 SW교육을 강화 하였다. 초등학교의 경우 실과 교과에 17시간의 SW교육이 편성되어 2018년도부터 시작될 예정이 다. 기존의 정보교육이 새로운 모습의 SW교육으로 바뀜에 따라 SW교육의 정착을 위한 제반 여건이 마련될 필요가 있다. 이 연구는 초등학교 현장에서 새로운 SW교육이 시작되기 위해서 어떤 준비를 해야 할 것인지를 탐색하였다. 먼저, SW교육의 목적을 구체적으로 설정하였고, 이에 따른 SW교육 영역을 SW 창의 교육, SW 활용 교육, SW 문화 교육의 세 가지로 구분하였다. 다음으로 국가에서 고시한 초등 SW교육과정을 분석하여 문제점과 개선방안을 제시함으로써 초등 SW교육의 방향을 탐색하였다. 이어서 초등 SW 교육이 시행되기 위해 필요한 요건을 인적자원, 물적 자원, 콘텐츠, 교육 모델, 교육 방법, 평가 등의 측면에서 제시하고 대책을 검토하였다. 이러한 분석과 검토를 통해 국가, 지역교육청, 민간기업, 교육대학교, 초등학교, 개인 등의 실행 주체가 각자의 수준과 역할에 따라 SW교육 기반을 조성하고, 그 위에서 SW교육의 영역을 중심으로 SW교육을 실행하여 SW교육 목적을 달성하는 초등 SW교육 모델을 제안하였다. 이 연구에서 제안한 초등 SW교육 모델은 SW교육 실행 주체들에게 초등 SW교육의 정착을 위한 구체적 방향과 지침을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

The importance of SW education is growing as SW-based society has come, that is SW technology has reinforced their competitiveness among countries and societies and SW market has been expanded. Hereunder, SW education has been reinforced in the 2015 revised curriculum. In case of elementary education, 17 hours of SW education are coordinated to the Practical Arts, will begin in 2018. Several conditions should be prepared to settle down the SW education as the existing information education are changed to the new contents of SW education. This study discussed what should be prepared for new SW education in elementary schools. First, the concrete purpose of SW education was established, in turn, SW education was divided into three areas of SW creative education, SW utilization education, SW culture education. Next, the directions of SW education were explored as the problems and improvements of the elementary SW area in the national curriculum were suggested. Subsequently, the requirements needed to implement the elementary SW education were suggested in terms of human resources, hardware infrastructures, contents, education model, education methods, and evaluation, etc., and the countermeasures of those were reviewed. Through the analysis and exploration of these, the elementary SW education model was suggested. The model defined that the practitioners of SW education, that is government, metropolitan and provincial offices of education, private enterprises, national universities of education, elementary schools, individual, etc. should prepare the ground for SW education by their respective levels and roles, and the SW education should be implemented in and around the areas of SW education to achieve the goals of SW education. The elementary SW education model is expected to provide the concrete directions and guidelines to the practitioners of SW education to settle down the elementary SW education.
