국문 초록

본 연구는 어머니의 변인에 따른 결혼불만족도와 언어통제유형의 전반적인 경향을 살펴보고, 어머니의 결혼불만족도에 따른 언어통제유형에 차이가 있는지를 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 통해 결혼불만족도가 자녀와의 상호작용에서 어떤 역할을 하는지에 대한 이해를 돕고, 보다 바람직한 언어적 상호작용을 할수 있도록 도움을 줄 수 있는 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적을 두었다. 연구를 위해 서울과 경기도에 위치한 유아교육기관 13곳에 재원하고 있는 만 5세 유아의 어머니 322명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하고, SPSS프로그램을 이용하여 평균과 표준편차, 독립-t검증과 일원변량분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같 다. 첫째, 어머니의 개인변인(연령, 학력, 가정내 월평균 소득)에 따른 결혼불만족도를 살펴보면, 연령, 학력, 가정 내 월평균 소득이 낮을수록 결혼불만족도가 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니의 언어통제유형은 인성 지향적 통제가 가장 빈번하게 사용되었으며, 다음으로 지위 지향적 통제, 명령 지향적 통제 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 결혼불만족도가 높은 어머니가 낮은 어머니보다 자녀에게 명령지향적 언어통제유형을더 많이 사용하고 있었다. 즉, 어머니의 결혼불만족도는 자녀양육시 언어통제유형에 중요한 영향을 미침을 알 수 있었다. 이에 어머니의 결혼불만족도를 낮추고 자녀와 바람직한 상호작용을 할 수 있도록 다양 한 부부 및 부모교육 프로그램을 실속있게 실행하는 것의 중요성을 시사하였다.

영문 초록

In this research, an attempt was made to examine mother’s marital satisfaction and overall trend of verbal control style based on the mother’s personal variables in order to analyze whether there is any difference in verbal control style based on mother’s marital satisfaction. The aim is to help understand what kind of role mother’s marital satisfaction plays in the interaction between a mother and her children and provide basic data that can be used to promote more desirable verbal interaction. For the purpose, data was collected from 322 mothers who have 5 year old children attending one of 13 early childhood educational institutions that are located in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. And with this data, an analysis was carried out using SPSS program to find out the average and standard deviation and implement independent t-test and one-way ANOVA. Result of the analysis can be summarized as follows: First, when marital satisfaction was examined based on mother’s personal variables (age, education level, average monthly income of the family), the lower are age, education level, and average monthly income of the family, marital satisfaction turned out to be low. Second, regarding mother’s verbal control style, character-oriented control was used most frequently, to be followed by status-oriented control and order-oriented control in descending order. Third, mother with higher marital satisfaction used more order-oriented verbal control style to their children than mother with lower marital satisfaction. In other words, we can infer from this that mother’s marital satisfaction has important effects on verbal control style when rearing children. And this research suggests the importance of implementing diverse conjugal and parental education programs in earnest in order to enhance mother’s marital satisfaction that can induce more desirable interaction with children.
