네팔 유학생의 정서지능, 자기효능감, 진로적응력 및 대학생활적응 간의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 네팔 유학생의 대학생활적응과 정서지능, 자기효능감, 진로적응력 간의 관계를 설정하고, 변인 간의 영향 관계를 규명하여 네팔 유학생을 위한 교육적 시사점을 도출하는 데 목적을 두었다. 네팔 대학생의 정서지능이 자기효능감과 진로적응력을 매개로 대학생활적응에 영향을 주는 변인 간의 구조적 영향 관계를 확인하기 위해 네팔 대학생 237명을 연구대상자로 선정하였으며, 수집된 설문자료는 SPSS 26.0과 AMOS 26.0을 이용하여, 빈도분석, 신뢰도 검증, 기술통계 분석, 확인적 요인분석, 구조방정식 모형분석 등을 실시하였다. 네팔 유학생의 정서지능은 대학생활적응에 직접적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않고, 정서지능, 자기효능감, 대학생활적응의 자기효능감을 통한 매개, 정서지능, 진로적응력, 대학생활적응의 진로적응력을 통한 매개, 그리고 정서지능, 자기효능감, 진로적응력, 대학생활적응의 자기효능감과 진로적응력의 순차적 매개를 통해 대학생활적응에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 예측되었다. 자기효능감과 진로적응력은 네팔 대학생의 정서지능과 대학생활적응 간의 관계를 매개하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 최근 급속도로 늘어가는 네팔 유학생을 대상으로 한 맞춤형 교육 방안을 마련하는 데에 이론적인 기초자료를 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study aims to explore the relationships among emotional intelligence, self-efficacy, career adaptability, and university life adjustment in Nepalese international students. The primary objective is to identify the influence of these variables on one another and to derive educational implications for supporting Nepalese students. A sample of 237 Nepalese university students was selected to examine the structural relationships between these factors, particularly how emotional intelligence impacts university life adjustment through self-efficacy and career adaptability. Emotional intelligence among Nepalese international students does not have a direct, significant impact on their university life adjustment. However, it is predicted that emotional intelligence positively influences university life adjustment through several mediating pathways: (1) via self-efficacy, (2) via career adaptability, and (3) sequentially through both self-efficacy and career adaptability. It was found that self-efficacy and career adaptability fully mediate the relationship between emotional intelligence and university life adjustment among Nepalese students. This study provides a theoretical foundation for developing tailored educational strategies aimed at supporting Nepalese international students.
