국문 초록

본 연구는 언어 정책에 속하는 한국과 프랑스의 자국어 국외보급 정책에 관해 검토해 보았다. 한국은 21세기에서야 본격적인 자국어 국외보급의 정책이 시행되었고 프랑스는 19세기부터 시작하여 긴 역사를 가지고 있다. 한국의 자국어 국외보급의 중심인 세종학당과 프랑스의 알리앙스 프랑세즈를 살펴보고 세종학당의 문제점과 개선 방안을 제시해 보는 것을 연구의 목적으로 하였다. 연구 방법으로 ‘역사적 접근 방법’을 사용하였고 이 방법으로 한국과 프랑스의 자국어 국외보급 정책의 보급 시스템을 분석하였다. 자국어의 국외보급 정책에 대한 이론으로 ‘언어 제국주의’와 ‘언어 세계화’를 논하고 언어 정책의 선례인 프랑스의 자국어 국외보급 정책에 대해 서술하였다. 세종학당의 개선 방안으로 1) 접근성이 고려된 현지화의 전략을 펼칠 필요가 있다. 2) 전문성을 갖추고 있는 교원과 교직원을 채용할 필요가 있다. 3) 홍보하는 방법을 다양화할 필요가 있다. 4) 협업형의 세종학당으로 변환 추진하여 현지에 진출한 한국 기업과의 협력을 강화하도록 한다. 5) 운영체제를 민관이 함께 운영하는 방법으로 바꿀 필요가 있다. 6) 세종학당을 프랜차이즈 방식으로 운영하는 방법이다. 등을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study examined language policies for the overseas dissemination of Korean and French. The purpose of this study is to suggest the remedies for the deducted limitations of the King Sejong institute after surveying the King Sejong institute and the Alliance Francaise which are the effective institutions for the overseas dissemination of Korean and French. This study used a method of the ‘historical approach’. This study suggested some remedies for the King Sejong institute those are the followings. 1) It needs that stretches out the localization strategy considered the accessibility. 2) It needs that recruits the specialized teachers and faculties. 3) It needs that diversifies the method of promotion. 4) It reinforces the cooperation with Korean companies those expand onsite with changing to collaborative type. 5) It needs that changes the operating system to run with the private and public together. 6) It had better be managed by the way of franchise.
