국문 초록

1992년 한-중 수교 이후 17년 동안 양국의 교류가 활성화되면서 중국 내 조선족 동포 사회와 우리 사회의 거리도 부쩍 가까워졌다. 이와 함께 한국어가 재중 동포의 민족어 교육에 미치는 영향도 점차 커져가고 있다. 이러한 배경 속에서 이 논문은 재중 동포 대학생들의 작문을 통해 중국 조선어와 한국어의 언어 차이 현상을 살펴본 것이다. 언어 차이는 표기, 발음, 어휘, 표현, 띄어쓰기, 외래어 표기, 문장 부호 등으로 나누어 살펴 본 바 특히 어휘면에서 언어 차이가 심한 것으로 나타났다. 언어 차이는 해외 동포의 모국어 교육이나 외국인에 대한 한국어 교육에 있어서 큰 지장을 초래한다. 특히 남북의 표기법 차이와 한국에서의 외래어 과다 사용은 북한식 중국 조선어에 굳어진 재중 동포의 언어생활에 많은 어려움과 불편을 주고 있다. 한국과 중국 조선어의 언어 차이를 극복하고 한국어의 세계화(Globalization of Korean)를 위해서는 한국, 중국 조선족, 북한 세 나라 학자들이 한자리에 모여 하루 빨리 통일된 언어규범을 만들어 그에 따른 통일된 언어를 쓰도록 해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Korea in 1992, the Chosun people in China and Korean people have been getting closer with the frequent exchanges between the two communities. Accordingly, the Korean language in China is becoming more important in the education of Chinese people of Korean descent. In this regard, this paper examines language differences between the Chosun language in China and modern Korean through the examination of some compositions written by Chinese university students of Korean descent. For language differences, we examined spelling, pronunciation, vocabulary, punctuation, appropriate use of expressions, spacing, use of foreign terms and expressions. Of these items, significant differences were found in vocabulary. The results indicate that language differences cause big problems both in the education of the Korean language for ethnic Koreans overseas and foreigners. This is most prevalent in the Chosun language in China which adopts the North Korean standard, especially given the different notational systems between North and South Korea. The excessive use of foreign terms and expressions in the South Korean language also poses serious obstacles to language usage. To overcome the language differences and to effectively globalize the Korean language, scholars representing Korea, the Chosun people in China, and North Korea should gather to discuss these problems and to implement a standard set of rules to apply in the global setting.
