가계 소비지출구조의 패널 분석

국문 초록

본 논문은 가구주의 노동시장 특성이 가계 소비지출구조에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위하여 노동패널 자료에 준이상수요체계(AIDS) 모형을 적용하여 2005~17년까지의 비목별 구성비 함수를 추정하고 지출 탄력성을 계산하였다. 추정 결과 노동시장의 직업지위와 고용상황이 가계 소비에 여실히 반영되는 것으로 나타났다. 대체적으로 직업지위가 낮은 단순노무직과 비정규직 가계는 식비, 주거비, 보건의료비, 교통비 등 생활필수품의 비중이 높고, 반면 가구주의 직업지위가 높은 가계는 외식비, 피복비, 교양오락비의 비중이 높았다. 지출 탄력성 계산 결과 필수재 성격의 비목에서는 직업지위가 낮거나 비정규직인 경우 지출 변화에 민감하였다. 선택재인 외식비와 교양오락비는 하위 직종일수록 탄력성이 컸고, 기타 지출과 내구재 및 생필품비는 상위 직종일수록 탄력성이 커서 비목별로 직업 간 민감도에 차이가 있었다. 향후 보건의료, 교양오락, 외식비 등에서 소비 증가 가능성이 높다. 하위직 근로자나 비정규직 등 노동시장 취약계층의 소비복지를 위해서는 의식주 관련 재화의 가격안정과 공공 복지확대뿐 아니라 노동시장에서 안정적 소득창출과 고용안정 등의 처우개선이 필요해 보인다.

영문 초록

This paper analyzed the effect of the characteristics of the labor market on the structure of household consumption expenditure. By applying the almost ideal demand system(AIDS) to the Korean Labor and Income Panel Study(KLIPS), the demand function for 11 item was estimated from 2005 to 17, and expenditure elasticity was calculated. As a result, it was found that job and employment status were reflected in household consumption. In general, households with low job status or non-regular workers had a high proportion of daily necessities such as food, housing, health care, and transportation. On the other hand, households with high job status had a high proportion of spending on eating out, clothing, and entertainment expenses. Also there was a difference in the sensitivity of spending between jobs by consumption category. There is a high possibility that consumption will increase in health care, cultural entertainment, and eating out in the future. For the consumption welfare of the vulnerable in the labor market, it is necessary to stabilize the prices of goods related to food, clothing and housing, and to expand public welfare, as well as to create stable income and stabilize employment in the labor market.
