영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the organizational factors which influence people behaviors in the context of user-centred design practice (UCP). This study presents organizational culture, organizational learning and change management as these organizational factors. Using survey methodology, this study distributed the survey to the experienced 112 practitioners of user-centred design practice in 52 Korean small and medium companies. In the results, organizational culture and organizational learning have positive effects on user-centred design practice performance as expected. And change management strengthens the positive relationship between organizational learning and user-centred design practice performance but has no effect on the relationship between organizational culture and user-centred design practice performance. The small sample size in terms of number of organizations and respondents has a potential threat to the external validity of this study. However, this is the first study to investigate empirically and demonstrate the relationships between some of the key organizational factors and UCD performance of an organization, which will support the theoretical foundations that in order to institutionalize UCD within an organization.
