이선관 시에 나타난 ‘웃음’ 연구

국문 초록

본고는 이선관 시에 나타난 웃음을 일회성의 가짜 웃음, 정치권력과 세태비판의 웃음, 언어유희와 조롱의 웃음으로 나누어서 살폈다. 그가 시 속에서 보여주는 감정적 웃음인 일회성의 가짜 웃음은 울음을 동반하고 나타났으며, 양가감정을 보여주는 것으로 애매모호하다. 화자는 웃음을 발견하기 위해 마산의 창동 사거리를 자주 산책한다. 하지만 그에게 돌아오는 것은 언제나 인색함, 웃음 없음, 비웃음, 가짜 웃음 소리였다. 웃음에 인색한 군중들 속에서도 화자는 웃음 찾기를 포기하지 않는다. 그는 계속적으로 창동 사거리를 서성거리며, 군중들 속으로 밀려가고 밀려옴으로써 안정감을 얻고자한다. 왜냐하면 웃음을 거부당한다는 것은 자신을 거부당하는 것이며, 소통의 단절을 의미하기 때문이다. 이는 심한 고립감과 외로움, 허무감을 느끼게 하는 것으로 삶에 지장을 초래한다. 정치권력과 세태비판의 웃음은 풍자가 주를 이룬다. 정치적 측면의 풍자로는 1970년대의 유신체제와 1980년대 군사독재정치에 대한 비판이다. 여기서는 등장인물들의 반복행위와 말, 형태에서 형태에로의 이행을 통해서 그만의 독특한 웃음 방식을 보여준다. 이외에도 이선관은 이중 격하, 수수께끼, 기계처럼 반복되는 말이나 행동을 통해서 풍자적 웃음을 유발한다. 여기서 주목할 점은 이중 격하이다. 즉 격하의 격하로 지배 이데올로기를 무화시켜버리는 독특한 웃음 전략이다. 그는 부조리한 사회 현실을 비판하고 교정하기 위해서 일상적인 한자성어, 우스개, 비속어들을 사용한다. 이때 상호텍스트성은 모든 위계질서의 영역을 교차하고 의미에 차이를 발생시키거나 확장함으로써 해방의 웃음을 선사한다.

영문 초록

This study examined the laughter in Lee Seon-gwan s poems divided into one-time fake laughter, laughter in political power and criticism of the world, and laughter in language play and mockery. The depraved laughter of one-off, which is the emotional laughter he shows in poetry, is accompanied by crying, and it is ambiguous to show ambivalence. The speaker often walks through Masan’s Changdong intersection to find laughter, but it was always stinginess, no laughter, no laughing, and fake laughter that came back to him.,But even in this smiley crowd, the speaker does not give up looking for laughter. He continues to pace the Changdong intersection, trying to gain a sense of stability by being pushed and pushed into the crowd.,Because being rejected for laughter means being rejected and disconnected from communication, which is causing life to be disturbed by feeling severe isolation, loneliness, and futility. The political satire is the main reason for the laughter of political power and criticism of the situation. The political satire is the criticism of the 1970s Yushin system and the military dictatorship of the 1980s. Here, it shows its unique way of laughing through the repetitive behavior of characters, the transition from words and forms to forms. In addition, Lee criticizes the contradictions between the system of the Restoration and the dictatorship through double demotion, riddles, and repeated words and actions like machines. In other words, he uses the usual Chinese characters, jokes, and slang words to criticize and correct the absurd social reality. At this time, intertextuality shows the laughter of liberation by crossing the area of all hierarchy and generating or expanding differences in meaning.
