국문 초록

본 연구는 1980년대 노동시의 시적 가치를 언어와 수사 등 형식미학적 특징을 통해 고찰하고자 한다. 이 논의는, 다른 시기의 리얼리즘 시의 양식이나 시적 수사에 대한 연구가 상당 부분 진행되고 있는 것에 비해 1980년대 노동시의 시적 언어나 설득의 수사와 같은 형식미학적 측면은 아직 본격적인 연구에 이르지 못했다는 문제의식으로부터 출발한 것이다. 1980년대 노동시는 기존의 시적 문법을 다시 쓰고 원래의 것에 의문을 던지며, 그것의 영역 밖에서 새로운 시 쓰기를 시도했다. 이들 시는 제도적인 사회적 위계질서와 역할을 의심하고 그를 새롭게 재구성하고자 하는 지향을 보여주고 있다. 기존의 시어와는 다른 언어, 노동의 삶에 대한 생생한 묘사, 시적 인물과 상황을 부각하고 여성, 하층민을 아우르는 ‘노동자’라는 계급적 전형을 창조해 간 점, 그리고 그에 서사를 입힘으로써 공감과 참여라는 독자의 읽기를 유도한 점이 이러한 논의에서 중요하다. 무엇보다 노동시의 정치성은 바로 감성적 불일치(불화)의 공간을 창조한 데 있다. 노동자의 삶을 보여주고, 그들의 고백과 감정에 동요하게 하며, 계급적 깨달음과 각성의 세계로 사람들을 이끌어가는 미학적 힘을 노동시는 보여주고 있다. 이는 동시에 기존의 것, 지배문학, 엘리트 문학을 부정하는 반동일성의 정치성을 지향한다. 본고는 1980년대 노동시의 정치성을 노동시의 언어, 시적 수사와 같은 형식미학적 고찰로부터 발견하고자 하였다. 이는 ‘구술성’의 언어와 ‘육체’라는 알레고리의 문제로 나누어 논의할 수 있다. 구술성은 이전 시의 문자성, 읽기 위한 텍스트성에 저항한다. 그들에게 살아 있는 시는 노동의 삶을 이야기하는 시, 노동자의 감성과 언어를 들려주는 시, 노동 현장의 목소리를 직설적으로 재현하는 시이다. 노동시의 구술성은 현장성을 강조하며, 독자의 공감과 참여를 직접적으로 설득한다. 또한 1980년대 노동시에서 독특하면서 독보적인 이미지는 ‘육체’라 할 수 있는데, 이는 노동자의 힘과 노동의 가치를 보여주는 중요한 알레고리이다. 노동시의 ‘육체’는 모더니즘의 지성, 서정시의 감성과 대비되는 것으로, 1980년대 노동시는 노동자의 ‘육체’를 새롭게 알레고리화함으로써 노동의 삶을 형상화했다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine the formal aesthetic characteristics such as language and rhetoric of labor poetry in the 1980s. The discussion begins with the following question: there has been a lot of research on the mode and rhetoric of realism poetry, but formal aesthetics such as poetic language and rhetoric of persuasion in the 1980s labor poetry have not been studied in earnest. The formal aesthetics of labor poetry in the 1980s is about the politics and aesthetics of literature. Jacques Rancière found the working principle of forming a political community in the realm of sensibility. He argues that politics and aesthetics participate in the “distributing the sensible system”. The politics he speaks of is the process of distributing speech and noise, and the visible and invisible. Politics is controversial and fluid because it is constitutive and processive. The politics of literature is subversive in that reveals discord over the existing order and reconstructs the sensible system. What is important is how the labor poetry in the 1980s tried to overturn the poetic order of the time, or how it responded to the role of poetry. And it s about how to create a politics of new sensibility aesthetically. At the same time, it has an orientation to achieve politics through aesthetic performance. It is about the change of the sensible system and about the sensible rearrangement of language. This is a strategy of anti-identification that denies the identification of dominant literature and elite literature. This study aims to discover the politics of the distribution of the sensible from the formal aesthetic characteristics of labor poetry. This can be discussed in terms of the language of ‘orality’ and the allegory of ‘body’. Orality resists the textuality for reading. To the labor poet, real poetry is a poem that tells the life of labor, a poem that tells the sensibility and language of workers, and a poem that directly reproduces the voice of the labor field. The orality of labor poetry emphasizes the fieldness of labor and plays the role of directly persuades readers to empathize and participate. On the one hand, the body is a unique and unrivaled image in the 1980 s labor poetry. This is a major allegory showing the power of workers and the value of labor. The ‘body’ of labor poetry contrasts with the intelligence of modernism or the sensibility of lyric poetry. The study of formal aesthetics on labor poetry in the 1980s is still in its beginning stages. It only looks at the theme or the significance of the times, while not looking closely at the popularity of poetry, popular rhetoric and expression, effects and emotions.
