학교부적응 검사와 BASC-2 검사 및 LCSI-C 검사와의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 학교부적응 검사와 BASC-2(Behavior Assessment System for Children-2) 검사, LCSI-C (Lim’s Character Style Inventory-Children) 검사 간의 상관연구를 통하여 학교부적응 검사의 타당성을 검증하려고 하였다. 이를 위하여 서울 또는 수도권(경기ㆍ인천)에 위치하고 있는 11개의 초등학교 711명을 대상으로 학교부적응 검사와 BASC-2 검사, LCSI-C 검사 간의 상관관계를 조사하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 밝혀진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학교부적응 검사는 BASC-2의 임상척도와 정적인 상관이 있는 것으로 나타난 반면에 적응척도와는 부적인 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 학교부적응이 BASC-2의 총분산의 56%를 설명하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로 BASC-2 임상척도와 적응척도에 의하여 적응 집단과 부적응 집단으로 나누어 이들 두 집단의 학교부적응 점수를 비교하기 위하여 t검정을 실시한 결과 자존감에서는 학교규칙이, 비정형성에서는 교사-학생관계가 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 없는 것을 제외하고는 BASC-2에 의하여 구분된 적응 집단과 부적응 집단의 학교부적응 점수에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학교부적응 검사와 LCSI-C 검사와의 관련성을 알아보기 위하여 상관분석을 실시한 결과 수용성은 학교부적응과 통계적으로 유의미한 상관이 없는 것으로 나타난 반면에 도전성은 학교부적응과 정적인 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 사교성, 신중성, 안정성은 학교부적응과 부적인 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과들을 볼 때 학교부적응 검사가 초등학생들의 학교부적응 행동을 잘 예측해주는 타당한 도구인 것으로 생각된다. 마지막으로 연구의 제한점과 후속연구를 위한 제언을 기술하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the correlation among School Maladjustment Test, Behavior Assessment System for Children-2(BASC-2), and Lim’s Character Style Inventory(LCSI-C). For this purpose, data were obtained for 711 elementary school students in capital metropolitan areas(Gyeonggi, Seoul and In-cheon). The results of this study are as follows. First, School Maladjustment Test showed a positive correlation with Clinical Scale of BASC-2 while it showed a negative correlation with Adaptive Scale of BASC-2. The School Maladjustment Test accounted for 56% variance of BASC-2. Additionally, T-test was conducted to compare school maladjustment behaviors between Adjustment group and Not adjustment group, which was classified by BASC-2 scores. There were significant differences between the two groups only except scales of Self-Esteem in School Rules and Atypicality in Teacher-Student relationship. Second, Acceptability Scale of LCSI-C showed no correlation with School Maladjustment Test while Challenge Scale of LCSI-C showed a positive correlation with School Maladjustment Test. However, scales of Sociability, Prudence, and Stability in LCSI-C showed negative correlations with School Maladjustment Test. Based on our findings, School Maladjustment Test is believed to be a reliable and validated test to predict school maladjustment behaviors among elementary students. The implications of the study and limitations are described in the conclusion.
