국문 초록

신뢰도(reliability)란 측정도구를 이용하여 얻어진 표본이 어느 정도나 모집단을 잘 대표하는가를 나타내는 측정의 정밀성(precision)에 관한 개념이며, 따라서 이는 측정의 일관성(consistency) 여부와 관련이 있다. 측정의 신뢰도를 평가하기 위한 고전검사 이론은 관찰점수를 진점수와 측정오차로 구분한 뒤, 이들의 변동량에 근거해 관찰결과의 신뢰도 계수를 측정하는 방법론에 기초를 두고 있다. 반면, 만일 적절한 통계적 모형을 사용한다면 다중오차원에 기인하는 측정값의 변동을 각 변인들의 기여정도 별로 파악할 수 있을 것이다. 일반화가능도 이론은 이러한 목적으로 사회과학 분야에서 개발된 이론이다. 또한 이 이론은 실험설계에도 효과적으로 응용될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 일반화가능도 이론을 적용하여, 질병부담에 관한 보건관련 지표 중 하나인 단일건강수준지표(SMPH)의 측정을 위한 적절한 실험설계를 구축하고 이를 평가하고자 하였다.

영문 초록

Reliability is a concept of precision measuring how well a sample obtained by measurement tool represents a population. In this respect, the reliability is related to the consistency of the measurement. Classical measurement theory of evaluating the reliability classifies an observed score into a true score and a measurement error, whose variation is used for calculating coefficient of reliability of measurements. If one uses a statistical model, however, the variability of measurements which contains multiple sources of variation can be partitioned into degree of contribution each sources of variation provides. A generalizability theory has developed for this purpose, and can be used effectively for designing experiment.In this study, we construct an experimental design for establishing summary measures of population health(SMPH), which is a measure of public-health related index for a burden of disease, and evaluate the proposed design, using the generalizability theory.
