연관성 규칙 평가를 위한 수정된 순수 대칭적 균형화 교차 엔트로피의 제안

국문 초록

그동안 연관성 규칙의 평가를 위해 교차 엔트로피를 변형한 각종 측도들이 개발되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 연관성 규칙의 정보량을 수량화한 교차 엔트로피 측도를 변형한 수정된 순수 대칭적 균형화 교차 엔트로피 측도를 제안하였다. 제안된 측도와 기존의 각 측도들에 대해 예제를 통해 연관성 평가 기준으로서의 유용성을 고찰하였다. 그 결과, 동시 발생의 빈도수가 증가함에 따라 기존의 측도들은 감소하다가 증가하는 반면에 수정된 순수 대칭적 균형화 교차 엔트로피 측도는 지속적으로 증가하였다. 또한 기존의 측도들은 모든 경우에 양의 값을 취하는 반면에 수정된 순수 대칭적 균형화 교차 엔트로피 측도는 경우에 따라 음의 값을 취하기도 하고 양의 값을 취하기도 하였다. 불일치 빈도의 값이 증가함에 따라 측도들의 변화 양상을 살펴보았는데 이 경우에도 기존의 측도들은 모든 경우에 양의 값을 취하는 반면에 수정된 순수 대칭적 균형화 교차 엔트로피 측도는 경우에 따라 양의 값 또는 음의 값을 취하기도 하였다. 이러한 결과에 비춰볼 때 기존의 측도들보다는 본 논문에서 제안하는 수정된 순수 대칭적 균형화 교차 엔트로피 측도가 연관성의 방향을 더 잘 나타내는 측도라고 판단할 수 있다.

영문 초록

In the meantime, various measures have been developed to modify cross entropy for the evaluation of association rules. In this paper, we proposed a modified purely symmetrically balanced cross entropy measure that quantifies the information amount in the association rule. We considered the usefulness of the proposed measures and the existing measures as association threshold by using examples. As a result, as the frequency of co-occurrence increased, the existing measures decreased and increased, while the modified purely and symmetrically balanced cross entropy measures continued to increase. In addition, the existing measures took positive values in all cases, while the modified purely and symmetrically balanced cross-entropy measure took negative or positive values in some cases. In light of simulation results, it can be concluded that the modified purely symmetrically balanced cross-entropy measures suggested in this paper represent the direction of association better than the existing measures.
