국문 초록

본고는 1950년대 문학 이론 총서인 <문예창작강좌>와 <세계문예강좌>의 체계 및 의미를 분석하고자 했다. 이 두 저서가 변모되는 통시적 과정을 고찰함으로써, 현대문학 관련 이론 체계가 변모하고 정립되는 과정을 논의하고자 했다. 첫째, ‘문예’에서 ‘문학’으로 변모된 점이다. <문예창작강좌>에서 논의되는 ‘문예’는 내면적 가치 체계에 의미를 부여하는 미학적 성격을 갖고 있었으며, 문학과 literature에서 문예를 분리하고자 했다. 반면 <세계문예강좌>에서는 역어로서의 ‘문학’을 탐구하고자 했다. 둘째, 한국문학의 정체성 탐구에 주목했다. 당시 집필진은 ‘개론-문학사-작품·작가론-창작론-사전’의 형식으로 문학 공부의 방향을 강조했다. 이는 세계문학의 보편성을 강조한 것이다. 세계문학의 보편적 특질을 탐구하는 가운데 한국문학의 정체성을 인식하게 되었다. 한국문학의 특수성과 세계문학의 연속성을 토대로 한 <세계문예강좌>는 현대문학 이론 총서로서의 의미가 크다. 이론총서 발간 작업은 국문학으로서 현대문학의 내연을 고찰하고 범주화하여 보편성을 획득하는 학문적 지식 체계를 위한 첫 걸음이었다.

영문 초록

This paper intends to analyze the structure and meaning of and in the 1950s. At that time, the colleagues emphasized the direction of studying literature in the form of introduction - literature history - works - writer theory - creation theory - dictionary . This emphasizes the universality of world literature. I became aware of the identity of Korean literature while exploring the universal qualities of world literature. The World Literature Lecture, based on the specificity of Korean literature and continuity of world literature, has great significance as a theoretical book of modern literary theory. In particular, the process of changing from literary to literary explains the knowledge system of early literature in modern literature.
