샹송에 의한 프랑스 초현실주의 시의 재현

국문 초록

이 연구에서는 프랑스 시와 샹송의 밀접한 상호작용을 연구하기 위해 시와 샹송의 역사적 흐름을 살펴보고 초현실주의 대표적 시들의 샹송화를 집중적으로 분석하였다. 샹송은 무엇보다도 가사를 중시하는 프랑스의 대중음악으로 프랑스 시와 중세 시대부터 현재까지 밀접하게 교류하고 있다. 특히 초현실주의의 시들은 다른 나라의 언어로 재탄생되어 번안곡으로 제작되기도 하며 시에 담긴 철학과 음악성이 전 세계로 전파되었다. 프랑스 시의 샹송화를 분석한 결과 프랑스의 시인들은 작시할 시 음악을 고려한 운율을 선택하는 경우가 많았고 프랑스의 음악가들은 시의 본디 전통을 유지하되 시의 구조나 내용에 변화를 주고 선율과 화성을 더해 대중들에게 전달하여 시의 대중화에 공헌한 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 통해서 프랑스 시는 통시적 전통을 유지하며 샹송과의 상호텍스트성에 의한 음악과 문학의 융복합을 통해 그 지역성을 확장하고 전 세계의 음악가들로부터 연주되며 재해석되고 있는 것에 공시적인 의의가 있다고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

In this research, we are going to examine the historical flow of the French poetry and Chanson and analyze specifically on the influence of it. This research will be focusing on major surrealist poems to investigate the close relationship between the two genres. Chanson is a French popular music with a great emphasis on the lyrics. Those lyrics had a large impact on French music and has been closely associated with the French poetry since the Middle Ages. In particular, the surrealist poetries have been translated into different languages and adapted into various songs, allowing its philosophy and musicality to spread throughout the world. By analyzing the effect of Chanson on the French poetry, it was evident that the French poets, often wrote rhyme relative to the music when composing verses. Similarly, the French musicians have retained the poetry’s traditional features by giving some changes to the structures and contents of the poem while adding the melody and harmony. As the result, this interplay contributed to the popularity of the poetry to the general public. The research shows that the French poetry conserves and develops its diachronic tradition. Further, it has clearly shown that it has extended the poem’s locality by the fusion of music and literature through the intertextuality with the Chanson. And as the result, it is reinterpreted and played by musicians from all over the world.
