한국어교육에서 현대소설 교육내용에 대한 연구

국문 초록

한국어교육에서 문학에 대한 학습을 체계적으로 모색하기 위해서는 문학에 대한 서로 다른 관점을 드러내고 각각의 관점이 한국어교육에서 문학의 위상을 어떻게 조명하는지를 살펴야 한다. 이 연구에서는 문학교육론의 담론에서 문학을 어떻게 규정 하며 교육의 목표 및 내용으로 어떻게 전환하는지를 비판적으로 분석하기 위한 분석 틀을 구안하고 이를 적용하기 위한 자료로서 한국어교육 교재를 수집, 분석하였다. 서울 소재 14개 대학에서 발행하는 교재 중 현대소설 작품이 수록된 11종 교재를 선별한 뒤, 여기에 수록된 13편의 현대소설과 관련 학습활동을 종합적으로 분석한 결과 현대소설 작품 관련 교육내용에서는 활동 중심 문학교육관이 가장 강조되었으며, 실체와 속성 중심 문학교육관에 터한 교육내용은 부분적이었다. 또한, 현대소설 작품을 통해 의사소통 교육을 추구하는 경우가 다수이기는 했으나 문법교육과 문화교육 역시 활발하게 이루어지고 있었다. 이 같은 결과를 통해 한국어교육에서 가능한 문학교육의 다양한 목표를 균형 있게 다루고, 한국어교육을 위한 현대소설 작품을 적극적으로 발굴, 활용하며, 한국어교육에서 ‘문학을 통한 문화교육’의 목표와 내용을 풍부화 하는 한편, 한국어교육에서 문학교육의 목표에 따라 학습활동 유형을 다양 하게 개발할 필요가 있음을 밝혔다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to understand how the perspective of literary education is reflected in the content of literary education in Korean language education. To do this, the analysis framework was first compiled. The direction of literary education in Korean education is divided into education about literature itself and education of other things through literature . Korean textbooks were collected as materials to apply the analysis framework. Eleven kinds of textbooks including modern novels were selected from the textbooks published by 14 universities in Seoul. The results of the comprehensive analysis of the 13 novels related to the textbooks and related learning activities are as follows. First, in terms of education about literature itself, the works of modern novels were most emphasized by the activity-centered literary educator. Educational contents based on reality-oriented literature education and property-oriented literature education were partial. Second, from the viewpoint of education through literature, there were many cases in which communication education was pursued through works of modern novels. Grammar education and cultural education were also active. The implications of these results are as follows. First, it is necessary to balance various objectives of literary education in Korean language education. Second, modern novels for Korean language education should be actively explored and utilized. Third, the goals and contents of cultural education through literature should be abundantly developed in Korean language education. Fourth, the types of learning activities should be developed according to the objectives of literary education in Korean language education.
