청소년의 정서·행동문제의 잠재집단유형과 문제적 인터넷 사용과의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 청소년의 정서·행동문제에 따른 잠재집단을 유형화하고, 개인 요인 (성별), 가정 요인 (부모 방임, 학대), 학교 요인 (교우관계, 교사관계, 학습활동, 학교규칙)의 각 잠재집단에 미치는 영향력을 검증하고, 각 잠재집단과 문제적 인터넷 사용 (휴대폰 의존도와 사이버비행 경험)과의 관계를 밝히는데 있다. 이를 위해 한국 청소년정책연구원에서 2011년에 수집한 한국 아동청소년 패널 조사 (KCYPS) 중 2패널인 2차 년도 자료를 활용하였으며, 자료의 분석은 2018년 3월에 수행되었다. 잠재프로파일분석 결과 고수준 외현화 문제 집단, 전반적 고수준 정서문제 집단, 저수준 내재화 문제 집단, 전반적 중간수준 정서문제 집단, 전반적 저수준 정서문제 집단의 5개의 집단으로 구분되었다. 다항로지스틱 회귀분석결과 성별, 부모의 학대와 방임, 교사관계, 교우관계ㆍ학습활동, 학교규칙이 각 잠재 집단에 미치는 영향이 상이한 것을 검증하였다. 위계적 회귀분석 결과 전반적 저수준 정서·행동문제 집단과 저수준 내재화 문제행동 집단은 휴대전화 의존도 및 사이버 비행 경험이 낮은 반면 전반적 고수준 정서·행동문제 집단은 휴대전화 의존도 및 사이버 비행 경험이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 청소년의 정서·행동문제 잠재 집단과 문제적 인터넷 사용간의 관계를 검증하고 각 잠재집단에 영향을 줄 수 있는 변인을 탐색하여 적절한 개입과 예방에 도움을 줄 수 있다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The main aim of the present study is to examine how membership in different subgroups based on emotional and behavioral problems in adolescents is related to their problematic internet use. Results of a latent profile analysis indicated that a five-group model provided the best fitting model: ‘low-level emotional and behavioral problems’, ‘mid-level emotional and behavioral problems’, ‘high-level emotional and behavioral problems’, ‘low-level internalizing problem behaviors’, and ‘high-level externalizing problem behaviors’. The results of a logistic regression analysis to explore the characteristics of each group showed that personal, family, and school-related factors differently predicted the subgroups of emotional and behavioral problems. Hierarchical linear regression analyses indicated that students in the low-level emotional and behavioral problems group and in the low-level internalizing problems group showed lower mobile phone dependency and cyber delinquency. On the other hand, students in the high-level emotional and behavioral problems showed higher mobile dependency and cyber delinquency. This study highlights the importance of considering both emotional and behavioral problems when designing programs to help students who have problems with internet use.
