창의적 문제해결력(CPS) 프로그램이 초등영재의 창의성 신장과 과학탐구능력에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 창의적 문제해결력(CPS) 프로그램이 초등학교 영재 학생들의 창의적 성향의 신장과 과학탐구능력 향상에 있어 효과적인지를 분석하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해, 창의성 신장과 과학탐구능력에 효과적인 과학영재수업을 구안하여, G시 소재 초등학교 영재학급 중 발명영재반과 과학영재반 두 학급을 선정한 후, 실험집단인 발명영재반에는 창의적 문제해결력(CPS) 프로그램을 10차시에 걸쳐 실시하였고, 비교집단인 과학영재반에는 과학영재를 대상으로 한 과학영재반의 프로그램인 과학문제해결수업을 실시하였다. 동질성 확인과 실험효과 검증을 위하여 사전, 사후검사로 초등학생용 창의적 성향 검사(신문승, 2010)와 과학 탐구능력 검사(권재술, 김범기, 1994)를 적용하였다. 연구결과, 창의적 문제해결력(CPS) 프로그램은 초등 영재학생들의 창의성 신장 및 과학 탐구능력 향상에 유의미한 효과가 있음이 확인되었다. 창의적 성향의 경우 창의적 성향과 그 하위변인(인내, 동기, 모험심, 호기심, 자신감)에서 모두 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 한편, 과학탐구능력의 경우 하위변인인 기초탐구력과는 달리 통합탐구력에서는 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 본 연구에서 확인된 것과 같이, 초등 영재를 대상으로 한 창의적 문제해결력(CPS) 프로그램은 초등 영재학생들의 창의적 성향 및 과학탐구능력의 신장에 효과적인 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze that the CPS program is effective in enhancing the creativity of the elementary school gifted students and improving the scientific inquiry skill. In order to achieve this goal, we developed a science enrichment class that is effective in the development of creativity and scientific inquiry skill. After selecting two classes of gifted and talented gifted students in elementary school gifted classes in G metropolitan city, the CPS program was administered to the experimental group for 10 class hours, and the comparative group was given a science class program for the science gifted students. In order to confirm homogeneity and verify the experimental effect, creative personality inventory for gifted children and the science inquiry skill test was tested. As a result, it was found that CPS program had a significant effect on the improvement of creativity of elementary students (F=33.318, p=.000) and science inquiry skill improvement (F=15.566, p= .000). In the case of creative character, the creativity tendency and its sub-variables (patience, motivation, adventure, curiosity, confidence) showed statistically significant difference. On the other hand, there was no statistically significant difference in the total inquiry skill (F=1.592, p=.215), unlike the basic inquiry skill (F=15.262, p= .000). As confirmed in this study, the CPS program for elementary gifted students was found to be effective in increasing the creativity and science inquiry skill of elementary gifted students.
