초등학교 학생선수의 일상세계에 대한 탐색

국문 초록

우리나라가 세계 속의 스포츠 강국으로서 성장하게 된 데에는 엘리트 중심으로 전개되어 온 학교체육의 역할을 간과할 수 없다. 그러나 이러한 성과 이면에는 학생 선수가 겪는 여러 가지 상황과 수행이 교육적이지 못한 한계점들이 존재하여 왔다. 이러한 점에 문제의식을 갖는 연구가 최근까지 많이 진행되어 왔는데, 정작 학생선 수의 일상적인 생활세계를 좀 더 상세하게 이해하려는 연구 시도는 상대적으로 부 족하였다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 학생선수들이 살아가고 있는 일상세계를 탐색하 여 보고 그들을 좀 더 이해하고자 하는 데 있다. 연구 수행을 위해 초등학교 운동부 학생 26명을 대상으로 심층면담과 참여관찰의 방법으로 자료를 수집하였고, 영역분 석과 분류분석을 활용하여 자료를 분석하고 해석하였다. 연구 결과, 학생선수의 일 상세계를 대변하는 주제로서 ‘시간과 거리의 부담’, ‘자율의 이중성’, ‘두 가지 정체성 의 혼재’, ‘훈련과 시합’ 등이 도출되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 종합 학생 기 숙사의 건립, 돌봄교실, 수업 결손 방지 방안 등의 학교 운동부 운영의 개선 방안과 후속 연구에 대해 제언을 하였다.

영문 초록

Elite-based school physical education has taken an important role in building Korea as a sports powerhouse in the world. However behind such an achievement, there has been also a limitation for student-athletes to be inappropriate in education. So there have been studies focusing on this issue till lately, but it was relatively not enough to attempt a study for understanding the student-athletes daily life in detail. Therefore the purpose of this study is to explore the elementary school student atheletes everyday life world. For achieving this purpose, data were collected from 26 student athletes through a qualitative method such as a in-depth interview and a participant observation, and then analyzed and interpreted by a domain analysis and a taxonomic analysis. As a results, themes for representing the everyday life world of student athletes were categorized as followings: burden about time and distance, duality of autonomy, mixture of two identities, and training and match. Based on these results, a few of suggestions for improving school athletic club were presented.
