근거이론적 접근에 따른 성인 입문·전기 학습자의 학습욕망 기저요인 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 성인입문·전기 학습자가 평생교육을 하는 실질적 목적과 의미를 분석 하고 심층적 기저요인을 발견하는데 있다. 이에 성인입문·전기자 중 평생학습 유경 험자 5명을 대상으로 심층인터뷰를 진행하여 근거이론적 차원에서 학습 욕구와 욕 망을 분석하였다. 개방코딩 결과 119개의 개념, 24개의 하위범주와 9개의 범주로 축 약되었으며, 축코딩은 인과적 조건에는 ‘학력·학벌주의’가, 맥락적 조건에는 ‘상대적 박탈감’이, 중심현상은 ‘졸업장 병(Diploma Disease) 사회’가 나타났다. 중재적 조건 에는 ‘구조주의적 욕망’과 ‘가족지향적 태도’ 그리고 ‘조건중심의 결혼문화’가 나왔으 며, 작용/상호작용 전략에는 ‘지위상승을 위한 학습’이, 결과에는 ‘사회계층 상승이동 욕구’, ‘주체적 학습 욕망 인식’이 도출되었다. 결론적으로 성인학습자들의 학습동기 는 기존 학교교육 학습동기와는 다르며, 학습 접근 동기에 대한 재정립이 선행되어 야 한다. 즉, 성인학습자들은 자기주도성에 의해 학습동기가 생성된다고 보았으나, 이러한 관점은 성인학습자들이 처해있는 현실적 삶에선 다르게 해석되어 졌다. 이에 성인학습자의 학습에 대한 동기와 의미를 기존의 편협하고 지엽적 의미에 국한 시 키지 말고 사회와 관계지어 학습욕망적 관점으로 좀 더 깊이 있고, 넓게 바라볼 필 요성이 있다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to analyzing the process of lifelong learning for adult learners(focus on early adult transition, early adulthood). the actual purpose and meaning for the study was to discover the deeper underlying factors in process of 5 adult learners. The study method was to analyze the in-depth interview data through the Strauss and Corbin grounded theory and with open coding results, we discovered 119 concepts, 24 sub-categories, and 9 categories were showed. the core category was ‘Layer rising desire to move through the learning in Society of Diploma Disease . Though this study, we confirmed that having a higher diploma and certification is advantageous competitive position than others in social status. So, people need to just higher diploma and certification. It has been found that to get the desired social and educational organizations and others interested. In other words, the meaning of learning for adult learners(focus on early adult transition, early adulthood) degenerated to tool for obtaining certification and becoming degree of instrumental aspects. But, should we go to a different way of teaching and learning needs more direction than a blind desire for adult learners(focus on early adult transition, early adulthood).
