한문 산문 '論'의 형식과 문체적 특징

국문 초록

한문 문체를 13류로 분류한 姚鼐는 그 처음으로 論辦類를 들었거니와, 論과 辦으로 대표되는 논변류는 산문에서 특별히 중요한 지위를 차지하고 있다. 뿐만 아니라 論은 科擧에서 중요한 과목이었다. 본고는 우리나라 論 작품의 시기별 제목과 작가를 검색하여 그 형식적인 특징을 살펴보았다. 論이란 작가의 역량에 따라 자유롭게 서술되는 양식으로, 사실상 일정한 규식이 없다고 말해도 좋다. 본고가 검토한 하나의 작품으로서의 論은 이전의 산문 선집류들에 보이는 대로, 「○○論」이라는 식으로 그 제목이 命名되는 작품에 한정하였다. 論의 본문은 科擧와 관련 여부에 따라서 두 가지 형태로 나뉜다. 科文의 경우는 대개 군주에게 올린 글이라는 특징이 드러나기 때문이다. 형식의 면에서 論의 또 한 가지 특징으로 들 것은 마치 樂府詩의 경우처럼 같은 제목을 거듭 사용하는 점이다. 역시 科擧와 관련되어 있기 때문이다. 우리 문학사에서 論양식의 전개는 크게 세 시기로 구분해 볼 수 있다. 첫 작품이 창작된 고려 중기 이규보에서 고려 말까지가 첫 시기이고, 科擧의 영향이 커진 조선 초기 이후가 둘째 시기이고, 科文과 결별한 조선 후기가 셋째 시기가 되겠다. 소재의 측면에서 心性理氣에 관한 論이 적은 것은 이들 문제에 대한 담론은 論이 아니라 다른 문제, 이를테면 說 같은 것으로 넘어갔다는 것을 의미한다. 인물론이 압도적으로 많지만 제갈량과 장량, 백이, 한고조 등 너댓 명에 집중되고, 우리 역사상의 인물을 다룬 작품이 상대적으로 적다는 점, 朱子를 다룬 작품은 하나도 없었다는 것은 여러 가지 면에서 한계를 보여준다.

영문 초록

Argument style occupies the particularly important position in classical Chinese prose. In addition, this was an important subject by an employment examination for government officials. This report gathered works of this style of Goryeo and Josun and watched the formal characteristic. It can say that there is not a constant form virtually in an argument style. It is a style to be described freely by the ability of the writer. This is distributed in the form of two according to the relation of the employment examination for government officials. This is because it can be divided whether the characteristic of the sentence that the writer offered to a monarch appears or not. As for one another characteristic many writers repeated the same title and used. After all this is because it was related to an employment examination for government officials. I can sort the aspect of this style in a Korean history of literature at three times. From the Goryeo middle to Goryeo end is the first time, and afterward is second time in the Korea early days when the influence of the employment examination for government officials became high, and Korea latter period when the employment examination for government officials was separated is the third time. At the side of the material there were predominantly many works which handled a person. However, it was focused on some Chinese people, and there was a few work which treated a person in the Korean history, and furthermore there was not one work to deal with Juhee[zhūxī, 朱熹]
