국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 다중언어 환경으로서의 교실 환경에 대한 국어과 예비 교사의 태도를 조사하는 것이다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 참여자에 의한 질적 진술문 분류와 정량적 개인별 요인 분석을 결합하여 개인의 주관성을 유형으로 도출하는 Q 방법론을 활용했다. 선행 연구를 바탕으로 연구를 위한 진술문 39개를 확정하였다. 연구의 참여자로는 전국 7개 대학교의 국어과 예비 교사 56명이 선정되었다. 분석 결과, 국어과 예비 교사들의 태도는 네 가지 유형으로 분류되었다. 요인 1은 다중언어 환경으로서의 국어 교실을 적극적으로 옹호한다. 요인 2는 한국어를 우선시하는 언어 학습을 강조한다. 요인 3은 변화된 교실 언어 환경에 대한 두려움을 표현한다. 요인 4는 실용적 관점에서 다중언어 환경에 대한 보조적 지원의 중요성을 강조한다. 본 연구의 결과는 다중언어 환경으로 급변하고 있는 한국의 교실 환경에 대처해야 하는 국어과 예비 교사를 위한 바람직한 교사 교육 프로그램 개발에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to investigate the attitudes of pre-service Korean language teachers toward a plurilingual classroom environment. Subsequently, Q methodology, which combines the qualitative statement sorting technique and quantitative by-person factor analysis, was utilized. Based on the previous research, 39 statements were collected for this study. In total, 56 pre-service Korean language teachers were selected as participants. Based on the analysis, pre-service Korean language teachers’ attitudes were categorized into four types: Factor 1 actively advocated language classrooms as plurilingual environments; Factor 2 highlighted language learning that prioritizes Korean; Factor 3 expressed the fear of facing a changed classroom language environment; and Factor 4 emphasized the importance of ancillary support for plurilingual environments from a practical standpoint. The findings of this study will contribute to the development of a desirable teacher education program for pre-service Korean language teachers who need to cope with the rapidly changing classroom environment in South Korea, which is becoming increasingly plurilingual.
