국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 영아교사가 ‘과보호 양육행동 학부모’와의 만남에서 경험한 갈등과 어려움 그리고 이를 극복하기 위한 노력에 대해 알아보는 것에 있다. 이를 위해 어린이집에 재직할 당시 ‘과보호 양육행동 학부모’와의 관계에서 갈등과 어려움을 경험하였던 영아반 담임교사 9명을 목적 표집하였다. 본 연구에서는 연구 참여자를 대상으로 총 9회의 반구조적 심층면담을 한 다음, 수집된 자료를 질적 연구방법으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 영아교사는 ‘과보호 양육행동 학부모’와의 만남을 통해 ‘불길한 예감’, ‘과보호 양육행동 학부모의 두 얼굴’, ‘의도적으로 가장한 과잉보호 양육행동’, ‘의심과 불신의 관계’를 경험하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 영아교사는 ‘과보호 양육행동 학부모’와의 만남에서 발생한 갈등 상황을 극복하기 위해 현실과 타협하며 억지로 참기, 경청하기, 공감하기, 완벽주의를 지향하기, 혼자서 소리 없이 되뇌기를 경험한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 영아교사와 ‘과보호 양육행동 학부모’ 간 관계 개선 및 의사소통, 상호 존중 및 상호 지원 보육문화 조성에 조력할 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the conflicts and difficulties experienced by infant teachers when interacting with parents who engage in overprotective parenting behaviors, and to explore their efforts to overcome these challenges. To achieve this objective, the paper employs a purposive sampling method focusing on nine infant class teachers who experienced conflicts and difficulties in their relationships with 'overprotective parenting behavior parents’ during their employment at a daycare center. In this research, a total of nine semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted with participants, and the collected data was analyzed using qualitative research methods. First, the research findings revealed that infant teachers experience a range of emotions and perceptions when interacting with overprotective parenting behavior parents. These include a foreboding premonition, two faces of overprotective parenting behavior parents, deliberately overprotective parenting behavior and relationship of doubt and mistrust. Second, infant teachers in their encounters with overprotective parenting behavior parents have been found to employ various strategies to overcome conflict situations. These strategies include reluctantly compromising with reality and forcefully enduring, active listening, showing empathy, aspiring towards perfectionism, and talking to oneself silently. The results of this study are anticipated to assist in improving the relationship between infant teachers and overprotective parenting behavior parents, enhancing communication, and fostering a childcare culture of mutual respect and support.
