대학생을 위한 예비부모교육 프로그램이 결혼관 및 자녀양육관 변화에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 예비부모교육을 구성하여 대학생들에게 적용한 후 예비부모교육 프로그램이 대학생의 결혼관 및 자녀양육관 변화에 미치는 영향이 어떠한가를 알아보기 위한 목적으로 실시하였다. 연구 대상은 교양과목을 수강하고 있는 대학교 1학년생 36명을 남학생 18명과 여학생 18명으로 선정하였으며, 부모교육 관련 강의를 수강한 경험이 없는 학생으로 제한하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 22.0 통계프로그램을 적용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 결혼관 검사 및 자녀양육관 검사에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났으므로 예비부모교육 프로그램은 대학생들의 결혼관 자녀양육관 변화에 긍정적인 효과가 있다는 결론을 도출하였다. 본 연구는 예비부모교육이 대학생들의 저출산 문제 뿐 아니라 바람직한 결혼관 및 자녀양육관을 가짐으로서 부모의 아동학대 비율을 낮추어 미래의 안정되고 바람직한 가정을 이루는데 공헌할 수 있음을 실증적으로 규명하였다. 현재 예비부모교육 관련 프로그램은 일부 대학에서 운영하고 있지만 대부분 교양과정에서 선택강좌로 운영되고 있으므로, 필수로 전환하여 모든 대학생들이 수강하도록 하는 것이 필요함을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to determine if the college students’ view of marriage and childrearing have changed positively after having a pre-parent education course. This study was limited to participants taking a pre-parent education course as their selective liberal arts course, and among them, they should not have any experience of childrearing before taking this course. A total of 36 freshmen in H-University participated in this research. This study used the SPSS WIN 22.0 statistical program to analyze the data. Results of the research are as follows. Not only did their views on marrriage and childrearing change, but the categories under childrearing changed as well: (1) love and control childrearing, (2) love and autonomy childrearing, (3) hostility and control childrearing, and (4) hostility and autonomy (Schaefer, 1959). This study revealed statistical significance in the effectiveness of having pre-parent education for changing college students’ views on childrearing. Therefore, a pre-parent program for college students can be useful and effective in positively changing their views on marriage and childrearing. These results indicated that positively changed college students’ view of marriage and childrearing could contribute to low birth rate problems and lower child abuse rates in the future. Currently, most universities provide pre-parent education courses as a selective liberal arts course rather than a pre-requisite course. I suggest that a pre-parent education course be changed to a pre-requisite course so that university students can take the course and develop positive views on marriage and childrearing.
