감정자유기법(EFT)의 연구 현황 분석을 통한 발달장애 아동 및 성인에 대한 적용 가능성 고찰

국문 초록

이 연구는 감정자유기법의 효과와 활용 실태를 조사하고, 발달장애를 가진 아동 및 성인들에 대한 적용 가능성을 알아보기 위해서 수행되었다. 이러한 목적을 위해서, 감정자유기법의 효과 크기에 대한 해외 메타분석 연구와 국내의 학술지 논문을 수집하여 그 내용을 분석하였다. 결과적으로. 감정자유기법의 효과는 해외 메타분석 연구를 통해서는 스트레스로 인한 심리적 증상들과 신체적 증상에 효과가 있는 근거기반중재로서 부분적으로 인정받고 있었다. 한편, 국내에서는 감정자유기법에 관한 13편의 중재 연구가 수집되었으나 메타분석 연구는 없었다. 그 중 70%의 연구(9편)는 한방정신의학적인 측면에서 실시된 것이었고 4편의 연구는 교육, 상담 등의 목적으로 연구되었다. 또한, 연구방법적으로는 사례연구가 77%(10편)에 달해 연구방법의 개선이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 다만, EFT의 효과성에 관해서는 84.6%(11편)에서 유효하다고 하고 있어서, EFT의 치료 또는 교육적 가능성은 있는 것으로 생각할 수 있으며, 발달장애를 가진 아동이나 성인들에 대한 적용에 대해서는 국내외적으로 거의 연구된 바가 없었지만 일부 해외 사례를 통해 효과가 보고되어 적용 가능성이 있는 것으로 파악되었다. 따라서, 앞으로는 감정자유기법의 효과에 대한 과학적인 검증을 위해 집단을 대상으로 한 과학적 기반의 RCT 연구가 필요하며, 또한 발달장애를 가진 사람이나 그 가족의 심리적 적응과 발달을 도모할 수 있는 하나의 방법으로서 감정자유기법의 가능성에 관한 보다 체계적인 접근이 요구된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects and application of emotional freedom techniques and to investigate the applicability of children to children and adults with developmental disabilities. For this purpose, we analyzed the foreign meta - analysis studies of the effect size of the emotional freedom technique(EFT) and the contents of the journals in South Korea. As a result, The effect of the EFT is partly recognized as evidence - based intervention for psychological symptoms and physical symptom due to stress through foreign meta - analytic research, while thirteen intervention studies on EFT In Korea were collected, but there was no meta - analysis. Of these, 70% of the studies (9) were conducted from oriental psychiatry, and 4 studies were conducted for educational and counseling purposes. In addition, as the research method, 77% (10 cases) of the case studies were found among all the studies, and it was found that the research method was needed to be improved. However, the efficacy of EFT was considered to be valid in 84.6% (11 cases), so it can be considered that EFT has therapeutic or educational potential. Although there have been few studies on children and adults with developmental disabilities in Korea and abroad, it has been reported that some overseas cases have been reported to be applicable to the disorder. In the future, RCT research is needed for the scientific validation of the effects of the EFT. Also, as a way to promote the psychological adaptation and development of people with developmental disabilities and their families, A more systematic approach to the potential of EFT is required.
