학습동아리 교수·학습 방법 적용에 따른 대학생의 문제해결 능력과 의사소통능력 차이 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학에서 수행되고 있는 학습동아리 형태의 교수·학습 방법이 실제 대학생의 문제해결 능력과 의사소통 능력에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보는 데 있다. 본 연구 대상은 서울소재 A대학에서 학습동아리 프로그램에 참여한 대학생이었으며 불성실한 응답을 제외한 최종 분석대상은 111명이다. 본 연구에서는 학습동아리 교수·학습 방법 적용의 효과성을 탐색하기 위하여 대응표본 t검증(Paired Samples t-test)을 실시하였다. 이와 더불어 문제해결 능력과 의사소통 능력 변인 간 상호 관련성을 살펴보기 위하여 변인 상관분석(correlation analysis)을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 대학생이 학습동아리 교육 프로그램에 참여 전과 비교하여 참여 후 의사소통과 문제해결의 일부 하위요인의 점수가 향상되었다. 구체적으로 살펴보면 학습동아리 교육 프로그램 참여 후 대학생의 정보수집 점수와 타인의 관점 이해 요인의 점수와 대학생의 문제해결 능력 역시, 학습동아리 참여 후, 확산적 사고 요인의 점수가 유의미하게 향상되었다. ‘학습동아리’를 적용한 교수·학습 방법은 대학생의 의사소통 역량 중에서도 타인의 말의, 의도 요점, 기분 등을 이해하기 위한 정보를 수집하는 능력과 듣기를 통한 타인의 관점에서 이해하는 능력 향상에 도움이 되며 기존의 관점에서 벗어나 새로운 관점을 문제를 해결해 보려는 확산적 사고 향상에 도움이 됨을 알 수 있다. 본 연구의 결과는 고등교육 기관의 대학의 학생지원 프로그램 분석의 비교 자료로 활용 될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the learning club type teaching-learning method on college students problem solving ability and communication ability. The subjects of this study were 111 college students who participated in the learning club program at A university in Seoul excluding untrustworthy responses. In this study, Paired Samples t-test was conducted to investigate the effectiveness of teaching-learning method. In addition, correlation analysis was conducted to examine the interrelationship between problem solving ability and communication ability. As a result of this study, the scores of some sub-factors of communication and problem solving after participation were improved after participating in learning club program. In particular, scores of college students information gathering, understanding others point of view, diffuse thinking factor or problem solving ability significantly improved after participating in learning club program. Teaching-learning methods based on learning club improve students ability to acquire information to understand the meaning of words, intentions, moods, etc. among college students communication skills and their ability to understand the perspective of others through listening. And it helps improve diffuse thinking to solve problems from a new point of view. The results of this study are expected to be used as a comparative data for the analysis of student support programs at universities in higher educational institutions.
