도심형 대학캠퍼스 장기발전계획의 전략적 계획특성 연구

국문 초록

대학캠퍼스는 삶과 밀접한 관계를 가지고 발전하였으며, 국내외 다양한 사례를 통해 공간 구성과 세부적인 계획특성을 통해 확인할 수 있다. 이와 같은 확장 전략의 개념은 마스터플랜을 통해 전략적으로 유형화되어 나타나고 있으며, 본 연구를 통해 국내 수도권 주요대학들의 캠퍼스 확장을 위해 추진하고 있는 개념을 살펴보고 이를 통해 시사점을 제안하였다. 특히 본 연구를 통해 살펴본 H대학의 마스터플랜 특성은 이와 같은 특징을 더욱 강조하는 계획이 나타나고 있다. 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 도심에 위치하는 캠퍼스 특성상 물리적 확장에 한계를 가지며, 이를 극복하기 위하여 계획적, 프로그램적 경제적 측면의 방안모색과 장기발전 계획을 수립하고 있다. 둘째, 캠퍼스내 마스터플랜을 위한 질서를 새롭게 제시하는 과정에서 다양한 문제점들의 적극적 개선을 통한 환경개선이 이루어지고 있다. 셋째, 지역사회와의 관계 증진을 위한 방안으로 물리적 경계를 해체하며, 특히 지역사회와 연계하여 건축물의 신축과 함께 운영전략은 대표적인 방안으로 구체화되고 있다. 그리고 홍익대학교의 사례와 같이 대학의 갖는 특징 및 내재적 장점을 바탕으로 지역사회와 직접 관계 맺는 시도가 이루어지고 있으며, 이는 곧 대학과 지역이 공유되는 환경으로 발전할 것을 기대할 수 있다.

영문 초록

University campuses have a close relationship with life, and their space configuration and detailed plans can be found through various cases of Korea and other countries. The concept of expansion strategy has been realized through master plans, and this study examined the concepts that major universities in the capital area are pushing forward for the expansion of their campuses and suggested implications. Especially, the characteristics of the master plan of H university this study looked into involve the plan that specifically emphasizes such features. The conclusion of the study is as follows. First, the nature of the campus located in the city limits the physical expansion. In order to overcome this limit, universities are seeking ways with plans and the economic side of programs, and are establishing long-term development plans. Second, in the process of presenting a new order for the master plan in the campus, the environment is being improved by actively resolving various problems. Third, as a way to enhance the relationship with the communities, the physical boundary is dismantled. Especially, new buildings that are connected to the communities are built and management strategies are becoming more specific as a representative strategy. In addition, as in the case of Hongik University, there are attempts to establish a irect relationship with the communities based on the characteristics and inherent merits of the universities, which raises the expectation for the common environment between universities and communities.
