국문 초록

本稿は、読みやすさの観点からキリシタン版『こんてむつすむん地』(慶長15年(1610年)刊)の表記の特徴を探った。 それは、体裁の面で目録の下に丁づけの数字をつけること、満遍なく濁点をつけること(98.7％にものぼる高い濁点表記率)、段落が変わったところにをつけ、文のおわりにをつけて文の終わったことをあらわすこと、当時の通行の仮名使用、語頭·非語頭·助詞専用の仮名字体や音による使い分けをする仮名字体使用であった。 このような表記をしたのは、『こんてむつすむん地』の編者が、この文献をより多くの人がやさしく読めるようにするため、漢字表記を当時の仮名文に近いぐらい減らしたため、漢字と平仮名の続きによる文や語の切れ目の機能がなくなったからだと思われる。そのデメリットをカバーするために『こんてむつすむん地』編者は、上記のような工夫をしたと判断される。

영문 초록

This paper investigated the characteristics of the writing in the Christian version of “CONTEMPTVS MVNDI” (published in 1610) from the perspective of readability. The summary is as follows: First, by adding page numbers at the bottom of the catalog, readers can easily find the part they want to read in the catalog. Second, by adding “daku” marks evenly (a high rate of 98.7%), readers can read words that do not have “daku” marks without having to worry about whether they have “seion” or “dakuon”. Third, by marking places where paragraphs change and marking places where sentences end, readers can quickly identify the division of paragraphs and the end of sentences. Finally, by using the common kana of the time, the reader can easily read the characters. In addition, by using kana fonts for word-initial, non-word- initial, and particle-only kana fonts, which are differentiated by sound, the reader can more easily distinguish where to cut and read the text. I believe that the editors of “CONTEMPTVS MVNDI” have devised this method so that more people can easily read this document.
