국문 초록

본 연구는 어머니의 공감, 정서표현성, 양육태도와 유아의 사회정서유능감의 관계를 알아보고, 어머니의 공감과 유아의 사회정서유능감의 관계에서 어머니의 정서표현성의 매개효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상자는 부산광역시 소재 어린이집과 유치원에 재원하고 있는 만3-5세 유아와 유아의 어머니 400명을 임의표집 하여 설문조사를 하였으며, 최종 341부를 최종 분석 자료로 사용하였다. 최종분석 자료는 SPSS 23.0 프로그램을 사용하여 기술통계 분석, 신뢰도 계수 산출, 상관관계 분석, 다중회귀 분석, 회귀분석을 통해 매개효과를 분석하여 연구문제를 검증하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어머니의 공감이 유아의 사회정서유능감에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과 공감의 공감적 관심이 유아의 사회정서유능감에 유의한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 또한 유아의 사회정서유능감의 하위변인별로 살펴본 결과 어머니 공감의 공감적 관심이 유아의 정서적 유능감과 사회적 유능감에 유의한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니의 공감과 유아의 사회정서유능감의 관계에서 어머니 정서표현성의 매개효과를 검증한 결과 어머니 정서표현성의 부분 매개효과가 있음을 확인하였다. 반면 어머니 공감과 유아의 사회정서유능감의 관계에서 어머니의 부정적 정서표현성의 매개효과는 나타나지 않았다. 본 연구의 결과는 유아의 사회정서유능감을 증진시키기 위해 어머니의 공감, 정서표현성을 고려한 부모교육 방안 모색을 위한 기초자료로 제공될 것으로 기대된다. 또한 어머니의 공감, 정서표현성 증진과 양육태도 개선을 위한 다양한 부모교육 프로그램 및 워크샵 등을 제공해야 함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between mother's empathy, emotional expressiveness, parenting attitude and infant's social emotional competency, and to find out the mediating effect of mother's emotional expressiveness in the relationship between mother's empathy and infant's social emotional competency. The subjects of this study were randomly sampled and surveyed 400 infants aged 3-5 years old and mothers of infants attending daycare centers and kindergartens located in Busan, and the final 341 copies were used as data for the final analysis. For the final analysis data, the research question was verified by analyzing mediating effects through descriptive statistics analysis, reliability coefficient calculation, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and regression analysis using the SPSS 23.0 program. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, as a result of examining the effect of mother's empathy on infants' social-emotional competence, it was found that empathic interest in empathy had a significant positive effect on infants' social-emotional competence. As a result, it was found that the empathic interest of mother's empathy had a significant positive effect on children's emotional and social competence. Second, as a result of verifying the mediating effect of mother's emotional expression in the relationship between mother's empathy and infant's social emotional competency, it was confirmed that there was a partial mediating effect of mother's emotional expression. On the other hand, in the relationship between mother's empathy and children's social-emotional competency, the mediating effect of mother's negative emotional expression was not found. The results of this study are expected to be provided as basic data for finding ways to educate parents considering mothers' empathy and emotional expressiveness in order to enhance children's social emotional competency. It also suggests that various parent education programs and workshops should be provided to improve mothers' empathy, emotional expression, and parenting attitude.
