일본의 초고령사회 문제에 관한 문학적 분석

국문 초록

본 논문에서는 개호 문학작품 중 하나인 하다 게이스케(羽田圭介)의 『스크랩 앤드 빌드(スクラップ･アンド･ビルド)』를 통하여 초고령 일본 사회의 세대 갈등 문제를 분석하고자 하였다. 연구를 통하여 초고령사회기와 같이 다양한 연령대가 공존하는 사회에서의 세대 갈등은 피하기 어렵고 그 양상도 매우 복잡한 형태로 전개된다는 사실을 파악할 수 있었다. 또한, 세대 갈등 문제는 정치의 영역, 복지의 영역, 고용 노동의 영역 등 다양한 영역에서 발생하고 진행된다는 사실도 알 수 있었다. 정치의 영역에서 발생한 세대 갈등이 복지의 영역에까지 영향을 미치기도 하는데 작품 분석을 통해 살펴본 바와 같이 고령화율이 높으면 높을수록 유권자 비율 중에 고령자가 많아지고 정책의 방향과 결정 또한 고령자의 입장을 고려하고 설정되기 때문에 젊은 층의 무관심과 사회불만은 더 커지고 결국, 작품 속 겐토와 같이 국민연금 거부와 같은 극단적인 형태로 표출된다는 사실도 확인할 수 있었다. 아울러 미디어는 세대 갈등을 심화, 혹은 중화하는 역할을 할 수 있는 중요한 기제로 작용한다는 것도 감지할 수 있었다. 또한, 영케어러(청소년)와 청년층이 고령자를 전담 개호하는 상황에서는 청소년들이 학업을 이어가기 어렵고, 청년들은 직업을 갖기 어려운, 현실적인 문제에 직면하기 때문에, 이들이 사회적으로 고립되었다는 고립감과 우울감에 노출되기 쉽다는 사실도 파악할 수 있었다. 이러한 사실을 토대로, 개호 환경에 처한 청소년과 청년들이 소외되지 않도록 사회적 관심과 제도적 장치가 더 치밀하고 세심하게 이루어져야 할 뿐 아니라, 젊은 세대를 이해시킬 수 있는 설명회나 젊은 세대와의 충분한 논의가 이루어질 수 있는 소통의 장이 먼저 마련되어야 하고, 젊은 세대의 입장을 충분히 반영한 정책 방향과 입안이 필요하다고 사료 되며 미디어는 사회 정화 작용에 충실하여 전 세대와 계층을 배려하여 형평성에 어긋나지 않도록 중립적 위치를 유지하여야 할 것으로 판단된다.

영문 초록

In this paper, tried to analyze generational conflict in super-aged Japanese society through 『Scrap and Build』 by Keisuke Hada, one of the nursing care literature. Through the study, it was found that generational conflict is difficult to avoid in a society where various age groups coexist, such as in the super-aged society, and the aspect develops in a very complex form. In addition, it was found that generational conflicts occur and proceed in various areas such as politics, welfare, and employment and labor. Generational conflicts in the realm of politics also affect the realm of welfare. As examined through the analysis of works, the higher the aging rate, the more seniors in the voter ratio, and the direction and decision of policies are set with sufficient consideration for the position of the elderly. As a result, the young people's indifference and social dissatisfaction grow bigger, and eventually, like Gento in the work, it was confirmed that it is expressed in an extreme form such as refusal of the national pension.In addition, it was also detected that the media acts as an important mechanism that can play a role in deepening or neutralizing generational conflict. Lastly, in a situation where adolescents (young carers) and young adults are committed to caring for the elderly, they are socially isolated and find it difficult to continue their studies and find a job. Because of these realistic problems, it was also found that they were easily exposed to a sense of isolation and depression that they were socially isolated. Based on these facts, social interest and institutional mechanisms should be more sophisticated and meticulous, and active discussions should be made so that adolescents and young adults in the environment of caring for the elderly are not alienated. In addition, policy directions and countermeasures that sufficiently reflect the position of the younger generation must be prepared.
