국문 초록

고려인 소설문학은 강제이주 이후 그들이 살아온 삶의 역사에 대한 기록물이다. 그 소재가 원동시절의 것인 경우도 그것은 현재의 그들에게 주어진 삶의 조건에 일정 부분 기여하는 의미를 지닌다. 강제이주의 공포로부터 벗어나기 위하여, 삶의 터전을 확보하기 위하여 소련에 충성하고 레닌과 스탈린을 찬양하며 최대한 러시아인들에게 동화되려고 했던 눈물겨운 이주의 역사가 그들의 소설에 고스란히 반영되어 있다. 그들 소설의 주제는 크게 보면 모두 사회주의 건설이라는 과업과 긴밀하게 연결되어 있다. 집단농장과 그곳에서의 삶을 이상적으로 묘사하고 찬양함으로써 사회주의가 지향하는 현실을 구현하는 데 그 무게의 중심이 있음을 이들 소설들은 잘 보여주고 있다. 이들 소설 가운데는 휴머니즘이 그 주제를 이루는 소설들도 하나의 큰 흐름을 형성하고 있지만 이 경우도 사회주의 리얼리즘과 직간접적으로 연결되어 있어 소련이 제시하는 문예 창작의 지침에 충실한 모습을 보여주고 있다. 이념적 영향과는 먼 거리에 있는 것처럼 보이는 작품들에도 이러한 현상은 예외 없이 나타나 있다. 그러나 그들 소설은, 적어도 그 시대를 살고 있는 사람들에게 주어져 있는 환경에서 그들이 추구한 최선의 삶의 방식을 형상화해 보여주고 있다는 점에서 그것은 진실성과 존재의 당위성을 얻게 된다. 고려인 문학은, 특히 강제이주 후 스탈린이 사망하기 전까지의 시와 소설은 고려인들이 살아남기 위해 선택한 생존 전략이었다는 점에서 문학성이나 예술성에서 다소 문제가 있음에도 불구하고 하나의 문학적 의미를 획득하고 있다. 고려인 소설은 그들, 혹은 그 후세들이 오늘의 위치에 이르기 위해 지불해야 했던 대가가 무엇이었는가를 실감나게 보여주고 있으며, 그 고난의 역사를 간접적으로 증언하고 있다.

영문 초록

The Korean Diaspora Novels in the Central Asia (KDNCA) is the records of the life history since the Great Deportation of Korean diaspora in the Central Asia. Even when the writers deals with the subject matter related to the lives of the Far East, they use it to have the meaning to explicate and evoke their current hard life conditions. To be released from the fear of deportation, they had to show royalty to Soviet government and praise Lenin and Stalin. Also, they tried their best to assimilate into the Russian society. Their tragic survial history is vividly reflected in the writings of the diaspora in the Central Asia. The themes of KDNCA are closely related to the ultimate goal of establishment of Socialist Society. So the KDNCA describe the lives of the collective farm ideally and praise them to accomplish that propagandistic purpose. Some novels deals with humanism theme but even in those cases, they never fail to emphasize the socialist realism. This shows that they royally comply with the directions of Soviet communist government. Even in the case of the seemingly pure writings of KDNCA, this propagandistic trait is evident. But those kinds of literature cannot be underestimated in that it truly reflects the harsh life condition that they were under and the best efforts that they made to survive in that hard times. Though KDNCA does not meet the high standard in literary evaluation, it does not lose its meaning itself because it evokes the true survival efforts under the Stalin regime. KDNCA vividly describes the sacrifices that they has paid to survive in that hard situation. It is the witness records of tragic history of the diaspora in the Central Asia.
