담화 유형별 위계 설정

국문 초록

본고는 2007 개정 초․중등 국어과 교육과정 중 듣기․말하기 영역에 제시된 담화 유형이 학년별로 위계적으로 조직되어 있는지 비판적으로 고찰하고, 담화 유형 중심의 교육 내용을 구성함에 있어 위계를 설정할 때 고려해야 할 요소를 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 교육과정에 제시된 담화 유형의 학년별 배열을 분석한 결과, 위계성을 충분하게 고려하지 못했음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이에 본고에서는 담화 유형별 위계를 설정할 때는 교과의 논리적 구조와 학습자의 발달을 종합적으로 고려하되, 학습자 측면에 보다 무게를 두어 위계성을 설정할 것을 제안하였다. 국어과는 타교과에 비해 교과의 논리적 구조가 분명하지 못한 반면, 교육 내용에 대한 학습자의 수용 가능 정도가 중요하게 작용하는 교과이므로 학습자의 인지 발달, 정의 발달, 언어 생활 실태, 담화에 대한 친숙도, 활용도 등을 고려해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to critically review whether a discourse pattern shown in the listening․speaking section of the 2007's Revised Korean Language Education Curriculum is organized in sequence by grade level and suggest factors to be accounted for when setting a sequence in constructing educational content for discourse pattern. Having analyzed the sequence of discourse pattern by grade level contained in the curriculum, it is identified that there is no sufficient consideration given to it. Hence this paper suggests that, in setting a sequence for discourse pattern, more emphasis to be put on a learner's aspect taking a logical constitution of curriculum and a learner's level of development into consideration in general. Although the Korean language education is considered to have a less logical constitution of subject matter than other subjects, it is the subject that a degree of acceptance of educational content by a learner plays a great role. Thus it is necessary to take into account of levels of cognitive development, emotional development, actual condition of linguistic life, familiarity of discourse, usefulness of discourse and so forth.
