초⋅중학교 교육과정 자율 시수 확보 및 활용의 개선 방안 탐색

국문 초록

연구목적 본 연구의 목적은 초⋅중학교의 자율 시수 확보의 개선 방안과 확보된 자율 시수의 활용 방안을탐색하는 데 있다. 연구방법 전국 단위의 초⋅중학교 교원, 학부모, 장학사 대상 설문 조사를 통해 초안을 도출하고, 교원과장학사 대상의 전문가 의견 조사를 거쳐 최종안을 도출하였다. 연구결과 교과(군)과 창의적 체험활동 간의 시수 증감을 허용하고 교과 시수의 일정 부분에서 자율 시수를확보하여 교과의 심화⋅보충 수업, 교과 간 연계 통합 교육, 기초 소양 교육, 학교 선택과목 등을 개설하는안을 제안하였다. 결론 본 연구의 결과가 교육 현장에 안착하기 위하여 요구되는 한 가지 선행 요건과 두 가지 실행 상의유의 사항을 제언하였으며, 궁극적으로 교육과정 자율화 정책이 개선되어야 할 방향을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore ways to improve the securement of the autonomousnumber of hours and their utilization in elementary and middle schools. Methods: The data was derived through a nationwide survey of elementary and middle school teachers,parents, and supervisors, and the final data was derived through expert opinion surveys of teachersand supervisors. Results: It was proposed that administrations be allowed to increase or decrease the number of hoursbetween subjects (group) and creative experiential activities and to secure autonomous times in certainsections of the subject curriculum for using intensive and supplementary classes, an integrated educationlinked between subjects, basic literacy education, school elective subjects, and other areasConclusion: This study suggests one prerequisite and two implementation precautions required tobe put in place in the educational field, and suggests the direction in which future curriculum autonomypolices should be improved.
