교육종단연구에서 사회정서 역량의 측정 차원성 변화 탐구

국문 초록

연구목적 현재 국가 및 지역 수준의 교육종단연구가 다수 실시되고 있다. 교육종단연구에서 반복적으로측정되는 학생의 사회정서 역량이나 심리적 특성에 성장모형을 적용할 때 대부분 측정불변성을 가정한다. 그러나 급격한 신체적, 정서적 변화를 경험하는 초기 청소년에게 측정불변성이 얼마나 타당한 가정인지탐색해 볼 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 청소년의 심리적 특성을 측정하는 척도의 차원성이 청소년의 발달에따라 어떤 특성을 보이는지 탐구하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 연구방법 본 연구에서는 대구교육종단연구의 중학 패널 자료 중 예비분석을 거쳐 진로성숙도와 학업적자기효능감을 연구변인으로 선정하고 이들이 서열형 변수로 측정된다는 점을 감안하여 제한정보 탐색적요인분석을 실시하여 측정 차원성 변화를 탐구하였다. 연구결과 분석 결과 두 변인 모두 통계적으로는 6요인 모형이 더 나은 적합도를 보였으나 해석가능성과실제적 유용성을 고려하여 진로성숙도에 대해서는 4요인 모형을 선택하였다. 진로성숙도와 학업적 자기효능감은 요인 수와 요인 패턴 측면에서도 뚜렷이 대비되는 특징을 보였다. 결론 진로성숙도에 대해서는 연도 간 단일 요인의 성장모형 분석에 대한 내적 타당도가 확보되었다고볼 수 있으며 학업적 자기효능감에 대해서는 다변량 성장모형이나 이요인 모형 기반 새로운 성장모형의필요성이 제기되었다. 마지막으로 이 연구의 함의와 추가적인 고려사항, 후속 연구에 대해서도 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: Various education longitudinal studies are being conducted in Korea. Students social-emotionalcompetencies and psychological traits are often analyzed using growth models, most of which assumemeasurement invariance. However, it is necessary to check the measurement invariance assumption,especially when the subjects are early adolescents who experience rapid physical and emotional changes. Methods: Career maturity and academic self-efficacy were selected as research variables through apreliminary analysis of the middle school panel data from the Daegu Education Longitudinal Study,and a limited information exploratory factor analysis was conducted considering the items beingmeasured as ordinal variables. Results: A six-factor model showed a statistically better fit for both scales, but a four-factor modelwas chosen for career maturity due to interpretability and practical usefulness. Career maturity andacademic self-efficacy not only revealed differences in the number of factors, but also indicated markedcontrasts in factor patterns. Conclusion: Internal validity of the single-factor growth model was secured for career maturity, anda new model based on multivariate growth or a bifactor model was deemed necessary for academicself-efficacy. Finally, implications of this study, additional considerations, and follow-up studies werealso discussed.
